They nerfed the endgame content recently, turned the division into another boring grind heavy looter shooter...
A few mixed reviews starting to roll out. It's a shame Massive Entertainment released this unnecessary nerf, while reviews were still in progress.
Currently at an 81/100 on metacritic, with some credible reviewers giving their verdict...

Interesting Forbes article on the recent endgame nerf.

Do you want to run challenge mode? Make sure you've a high-end build with at least 100000 DPS. That high-end build will take some time though, unless you got geared before the nerf, can now run challenge mode endlessly, farm a shit load of phoenix credits.
Dark Zone is pointless, the risks of going rouge are too severe. They should get rid of XP loss on death completely.
EDIT: A lot of people in this thread, don't appear to understand the random roll stats on high-end item's. They're comparing a high-end weapon to an exotic in destiny.
"There's 35 weapon talents, 3 talent slots, that's 42,857 possible outcomes, so there's a 0.000139% chance to get the perfect weapon with all 3 talents you want."

Kudos to anyone who gets the song choice reference...

Oh no!!!!!! Now we cant unlock every single piece of high end gear with in the first few weeks!!!!!!!! What will we do now?!?!?
-
Lol @ nerfs
-
Anybody else happy with the game lol? No? Just me? Oh well lol
-
Anyone else ready for the 'must be DZ rank 99 or I'll kick you from my incursion' posts?
-
Do you know how -blam!-ing easy it was to get Pheonix credits? I was able to get 100 in less then a hour. That's a new exotic blueprint. I could get every blueprint in 1 day. What fun is that?
-
Ok well I was running the final mission with a few friends on hard mode. Mind you I was only lvl 28. We were almost near the end and we killed the one boss and I received a 586 magnum high end.

Edited by Kage Verix: 3/19/2016 2:06:39 PMQuit crying about something that was changed to the way it was intended in the same week of the game's release. Phoenix Credits are used to get you the blueprint not craft the item. That just takes High-end resources and they are easily obtainable. Edit: and to conclude. Omg you have to actually grind in a gear grind game? Oh the humanity!!!

There has to be a penalty for dying as a rogue, and it should be a hefty one. Otherwise every other agent you meet would always be an enemy who will try to kill you. There are a zillion other games with straight up PVP if that's what you want. The tension and unease of the Dark Zone is what makes it unique.

Does anyone remember EQ? The eternal grind? Thats the way games used to be... Now every one wants to master a game in a month toss it on a shelf and forget about it till the next dlc. If thats what you want there is CoD. This is a rpg with a already exelerated time table to end game to apease to the impatient milinials. Most other MMOs EQ and WoW (vanilla not this pokemon and panda crap) you where looking at a month before a semi hardcore player (8hrs a day) even hit max lvl which was 60 not 30 and then there was a grind for gear to get into the raid. Then the raid droped one peice of gear that could be used by the 11 others with you so you rolled on it. But here you participate you get something... TL/DR If you dont want to get your grind on then kindly move on. Rome wasnt built in a day neither should a RPG charicter. Dont ruin this genre anymore with your impatience with gearing up.

Ha, destiny clone. If you honestly think it's a destiny clone, you must not play rpgs....at all.

Edited by ApexPredIsCute: 3/19/2016 12:34:38 PMWell you should need yo have weapons upwards of 90k to complete Challenge Modes. It's called Challenge Mode for a reason. The easiest by far is the Lexington Event Center. About the DZ, yeah going Rogue is definitely not worth it currently. Let it reward you with more credits because the chances of getting something useful is very slim. Due to the Private/Public System, if you decide to kill a player and see if he has a high-end weapon on him, he could possibly, but you wouldn't see it, because it would private. The only time I've seen a high-end drop from a player is when he and his team of 4 had a Manhunt on them and I killed them. But, you should definitely lose XP if you go rogue. You're deciding to kill a player and take their stuff, for more than likely, pety reasons. Although I think that if you are killed by a Rogue, you shouldn't lose XP, only credits.

This was bound to happen. When the community rushes to end game(means game over...get it?), they complain not enough content. So now everyone's on the slow roll. You whant to beat a game in 16 straight hours, fine. Just don't bitch about content.
-
Make it so tht u can lose xp but u cant lower a lvl

Edited by mckechnie13: 3/18/2016 2:16:32 PMChanged my gear to 100% scavenging as of yesterday. Was ranking up my dark zone level in dz01 and got a Midas and a high end silencer within one hour. The easiest method for Phoenix credits is re Playing lincoln tunnel checkpoint challenge mode but it is fuc*king tedious. I'm kinda sick of it.
-
Disagree with you on the point of DZ.
-
If you want good drops invest in a good set of scavenging gear
-
The DZ needs some fixing but not for going rogue. There would be no risk if you lost nothing
-
79 on Metacritic if you want to go truly meta and average the three platform scores.

Edited by ABeardedViking: 3/17/2016 7:42:11 PMStill complaining about this. You should either give it a month or two or move onto something else. And the loot system is nothing like Destiny. I didn't even see my first exotic till way after a month of playing daily. I was watching a bunch of streams today and I am seeing purples drop left and right a few high ends. I don't understand how anyone bought this game didn't expect they were not going to have to grind
-
Division is better
-
Edited by Quasar in a Can: 3/18/2016 11:23:28 AMive beaten the challenge mode twice with 50k dps and only two other players.
-
Desticle
-
And also, destiny didnt even have endgame at launch, everybody seems to forget. The raid came couple months later in january if i'm not mistaken
-
Did the challenge mode with 3 other randoms today, i used Midas and was at around 70.000 dps. Took us about 2 hours but we only wiped twice. Just take it slow and you can do most of em. Did the tunnel mission yesterday as well with even lower dps. Stop complaining.
-
Some people liked destiny you know. So a "destiny clone" which division isn't even, isn't really a bad thing. Depends on the individuals opinions
-
Some reviews also reference the incredibly static world (feels exactly the same as the beta) and the overly repetitive side missions. Trying to grind out those last few levels on side missions isn't fun. It's a chore. It would be nice if enemies dropped a decent chuck of XP when you killed them. Then you could at least take the "kill everything you see" route to leveling at a decent rate.
