We can't really compare two different types of technology due to age/time of creation. But we can do a hypothesis on the light sabers relative. The energy sword is the closest thing we have to a light saber. Due to the light saber most likely not able to be made of light but rather a material like plasma or a condensed laser. This would work perfectly. If you hit a energy sword against a plasma shield overloading (armor lock). You would have the same atoms hitting against each other with different permeable shields. There fore they would knock each other back. Meaning by the plasma sword would be slicing or waiting for the armor to fully overload and disperse/regroup. By the time the armor lock is done the energy sword would have half energy or none. But if the user waited for the armor to disperse then it's a kill, sadly this isn't situational would be a great topic. Therefore armor lock would win for the time being.
