So i have been away from this forum for a few days come back and people are still arguing this. There r hundreds of comments more and i dont feel like reading them all but the from what i can gather u all r arguing if a spartan can survive a nuke and magics role in all this. First of all it depends on the type if the bomb and the explosive yield of a bomb to determine its effectiveness. Some nukes can be millions of times more powerful then others. I have no recollection of any spartan surviving a nuke outside of mc because of cortana and his infinite amount of plot armor. I dont think a spartan could survive any nuke though unless he was very far from ground zero. I mean if a rocket can kill them so can a nuke. On the subject of magic i dont think the guardians can use it. The main idea we have to think about when using the word magic is deciding whether the guardians are actually doing magic. Magic generally could be thought of as doing something that is outside of what is believed to be physically possible according to the laws of the universe. Normally when magic is present in fiction it is very specifically stated however in destiny it is not. I think its more likely that guardians are using light do to actions that were previously believed to be impossible in the eyes of humans. I think light is a form of energy like electrical or kinetic that the guardians utilize but dont understand it is still a part of the destiny universe physics thus it is bound and governed by rules. I think the easiest way to think of light is to think of it like ki in dbz. It is an inner force with limits that can be used to accomplish incredible feats but is not magic. Light is just something that the guardians don't understand but utilize. Also because of this i believe the light is one of the sources of destiny humans weakness. The destiny humans are technologically and mentally inferior to halos humans. The guardians overly rely on eris's ability to understand the hive when they come across an enemy they dont understand they get crushed and unlike the halo humans they are unable to understand their enemies. In halo humans reverse engineer foreign technology and come up with large scale tactics to combat superior opponents. The guardians rely on light to much they have to use old ships from a past age and have never demonstrated tactics that go the way they planned or work without luck. They also have never used nukes, a perfect time to use one would have been on the dreadnaught if not to blow it up just for the radiation and emp. This leads me to believe they do not possess them and cannot make them. While halo people can. This also shows that there are many more competent or educated people in halo. Further if u analyze the soldiers the people in halo are also superior. First there is no limit to the # of spartans there can be but there r limited guardians. And there is alot more to humanity than the spartans. Spartans are physically superior with better reflex time better training better physical condition faster brain processing and overall more intelligent. By the way following complicated procedures does not denote high intelligence an animal could be trained to stand on a certain spot at a certain time so the raid does not prove guardian intelligence. On the topic of supers i believe there are very few that could penetrate armorlock and those that could outlast it like the hammer of sol would have to direct their attention elsewhere as most spartans do not fight alone. Also it is interesting to consider what would happen to the guardians if the traveler was killed. The fact that humans in halo have left the solar system also shows better technology. The humans in halo are constantly fighting enemies they do not fully understand who are much older species have better technology and have no fatal weakness. The guardians success can be traced back to the fact that their enemies are week to light. Anyway humans in halo> humans in destiny But in the end all the humans are irrelevant as stated by me and many other users because their are much more powerful beings in both universes that would determine the fight
