Now I don't know if I'm the first to notice this but I'm saying this anyways.
There is an error in the destiny lore. Now I'm not a big lore reader but I am a major history buff and while reading up on something I discovered something that bungie should've noticed. The problem is with the Vault of glass. More specifically one of the unique units. More specifically praetorians. To put it simply praetorians were the elite guard of the land. They protected their leader faithfully and dutifully. Seems like the ones in VOG right? Well here's where you're wrong. Praetorians were the ROMAN emperor's guards. Meaning they should've been used for the cabal. They could've been properly used in a cabal raid. This shocked me in the fact that Bungie would miss something like this
Edit: to all saying that the Colossus and phalanx are a part of Greek mythology: they were also a part of the Romans too.
Edit: to those of you saying that the phalanx was Greek and the Testudo( I think that's how it's spelt) is Roman. They are the same thing just using different words.

Edited by Nightmarity: 3/6/2016 5:57:13 PMI sorta agree with you. If you look at the names of the rest of the Vex mobs. Minotaur, Goblin, Hobgoblin, Harpy, Hydra... All Greek origins Praetorian wouldn't make sense because it's based on Roman. Like Cabal names, Legionary, Phalanx, Centurion, Colossus... Roman Based. But the Vault is a little different. Praetorians are defenders. And there isn't a common knowledge Greek defender besides the Minotaur, which that namesake was already taken. And I'm assuming that Guardians named the Vex creatures and just went for ancient myths and legends because of how ancient the Vex are.
