I really badly wanted this gun to be amazing. I just got it last week after going through one of the longest quest lines but the gun is really underwhelming.
It has aim assist lower than the red death, and the muzzle makes it hard to see where you're shooting.
I really wanted this to be my go to gun for PvP but it really just doesn't cut it... In PvE it maybe somewhat ok, but I really want this to be a good balanced gun for PvP and I'm sure a big chunk of the community feels the same way.
Edit: Did some more testing. The gun works better with smooth ballistics. Stability is slightly lower but aim assist is higher. You just have to keep a very steady hand otherwise you're screwed lol.
Edit #2: Max out the range on this sucka. Even though aim assist is low, you hit headshots much easier. Pace, and be steady. It can work well if you try lol. Stability won't matter much since it's mostly a 3 shot kill anyways.

I love it. Feels smoother than a friggin butter stick.
-
I love it just the way it is.

NTTE can almost 2 burst. If your target is slightly weak, you'll get them in 2 burst.
-
I think it feels weak because of these two simple things: 1. Pulse rifles in the archetype ntte falls into got hit really hard in the recent nerf and aren't nearly as powerful as they used to be. & 2. They drastically altered the sights compared to the strangers rifle, making them very obstrusive to hitting the headshots necessary to use the weapons exotic perk. 2 fixes: mildly buff high & medium impact pulse rifles cause they got hit to hard. Make the reticle on No Time To Explain exactly like it is on The Strangers Rifle. Boom this weapon becomes the gem it was meant to be.

A buff post? What the -blam!- is this?

Edited by Sosbanfawr: 3/6/2016 4:27:57 PMI like it for PvP. It just takes some getting used to. The barrel glow is a problem - the effect needs to be more transparent. I thought about it for Warpriest, Golgoroth and Daughters and whilst it's solid and you don't run out of ammo...how often do you run out of primary ammo? Plus if you're hitting the head then Black Spindle just completely smashes everything else for potential damage. It's kinda limiting in the same way Gally was in Y1. Yeah sure you can mess about with this or Zhalo or Sleeper but if you're going for a serious and speedy run, Spindle all day long. Zzz.

I just wish it would fine a bit faster

Not until you learn to use commas consistently and correctly!

Before the nerf it was really good in PVP. After the Pulse Rifle nerf it sucks. Needs a buff, I agree. Bungie does an excellent job making exotic weapons not feel exotic at all...
-
The damage is amazing and u dont need to reload if u hit all headshots ,really good even on bosses
-
I actually could agree with this, the weapon was a pain to get cause no one does VOG anymore. We deserve a good pulse rifle for a long quest line
-
I'm very good with it love the design and the projectiles
-
They need to fix the muzzle. Stats are solid, but cannot aim with it.
-
Edited by WormChi: 3/6/2016 1:05:20 PMI ised to use it quite a bit since the nerf it's mo good. Should of just given us Strangers Rifle V2
-
Take out the muzzle flash, possibly adjust the scopes, and then I would most definitely use this thing more.
-
Flash needs to be fixed, still prefer juju over it also.
-
It is terrible due to the flashback. Worst exotic in the game in my opinion
-
The strangers rifle is better
-
I'm fine with it
-
Edited by A Tigerstorm: 3/6/2016 1:33:08 AMIt's fine the way it is. It just needs a muzzle flash and scope change

no there isnt time to buff
