boredom
On a ship, even one as large as the infinity, there was only so much you can do. Only so many training missions you could run, so many movies you could watch, before you ran out of things to do.
Sgt Patterson sat half on a table, loading ammunition into magazines. He looked around the dinning facility, the ship's internal clock had the time at noon, first shift was eating, or should have been. This damn ship didn't have much of a crew. He'd gotten used to serving on military ships, as much as he hated to admit it, he missed the squids, the men where easy to get along with, as long as you made fun of the marines or the Air Force. The women, there were some stories he had.
He smiled to himself and shook his head, now these robots weren't much conversation and the people here were pretty insular.
This was new for the operator, largely the people here were civilians or mercs.
And so he checked his equipment, loaded ammunition, and chewed on a few pieces of the freeze dried food that was always on hand.

-
*he sees a man walk towards him, cloaked in a black robe. He walks up to the Sergeant "Happen to know where the captain is?"-Man
-
"Probably on the bridge, that is where the captain spends most of his time, his quarters are right next to it and he has most of his meals there too."
-
"I see. Do you happen to know where the team went? And, for that matter, who are you?"-Man *the Sargent sees a small yellow glow underneath his hood, barely visible. Possibly a visor
-
The soldier slid a magazine into his side arm. "If you don't know it's not your business where they are, as for myself you can read my name tap can't you? In any case I'm staff sergeant James Patterson."
-
"Nice to meet you. Now, tell me where the team is. My friend is among their ranks, and I want to know where he is."-Man *he seems rather insistent
-
"Listen, classified means classified, even if I knew, which I don't, I would say."
-
*while the Sergeant is unable to see past the shadow of his hood, he can tell the man just rolled his eyes "Fine. Be that way."-Man
-
"I've seen to many ops go bad because someone opened his mouth. I don't know who the hell you are or what the hell you want."
-
Edited by SilverPulse620: 3/5/2016 7:31:46 PM"I've seen many jobs where people died because they kept important information from me."-Man *he scans the area, then turns back to the Sergeant "You can call me Phoenix."-Man
-
"Well, Phoenix, seeing as I've never seen you before I don't trust you."
-
Edited by SilverPulse620: 3/5/2016 8:03:03 PM"The Shadowed One does. As does Silver. Contact him, and he'll tell you the same I have. So, who is the captain of this ship? Or is that classified as well?"-Phoenix
-
"I'm not them, and captain kamarov is on the bridge."
-
Edited by SilverPulse620: 3/5/2016 8:14:16 PM*he seems surprised to hear the name "Karamov? Isn't he that Federation colonel that led that Russian division of troops? They put a Fed in charge of this vessel?"-Phoenix
-
"No, kamarov is a navy man through and through. But yes, he is a federation man."
-
"Well, I better go speak to him. Nice barely talking to you."-Phoenix *he interfaces with the ship's computer, and brings up schematics of the ship. Once he finds the location of the bridge and the Captain's quarters, he makes his way to the bridge
Are you also the captain?
-
yep
The captain was there on bridge busy doing something, Phoenix wasn't able to tell what exactly.
-
*he cloaks himself(by cloak, I mean he becomes invisible, not just wearing a cloak), and walks up to the captain so silently that the captain couldn't hear him. He takes a look at what he is doing
-
The captain shuts off the screen and goes back to the helm, staring out into the stars.
-
*he walks back out the door, decloaks, then knocks on it "May I come in?"-Phoenix
-
"Come in. It's not like I don't know you have cloaking device."
-
Edited by SilverPulse620: 3/5/2016 9:05:18 PM*he walks in, his robes still on over his armor "Well, you are smarter then I originally thought. You are the captain, correct?"-Phoenix
-
"I am, is there something you need from me? Or were you trying to find out federation secrets."
-
Edited by SilverPulse620: 3/5/2016 9:14:44 PM"Both. I am a friend of Silver's. I came here to make sure he is alright. Although, a few Federation secrets would be nice, if it isn't too much to ask."-Phoenix(sarcastically for the last sentence) *he enters, and seats himself in a nearby chair
-
"As far as I know he's working an alliance operation."
-
"Happen to know where?"-Phoenix
