Calm Before the Storm
The intercom on the Infinity suddenly blares, announcing the rather smooth voice of the First Officer, who speaks rapidly, with a few pauses for breathing. A soft alarm blares in the background, signifying a leap to warp.
"Attention Crew, we have received an emergency distress beacon from a nearby Triumvirate outpost, on a planet called Helsing. The message is vague, but it asks for immediate assistance, and we plan on obliging ASAP. The mission as it stands right now is to reinforce the outpost, and ensure that it stands after we leave. Team leaders, report to the Bridge for further orders."
(Open to all. Yeah, it's short, but I'm bored rn)

Edited by Trashcan Jesus: 3/5/2016 6:18:32 PMWolf walked to the bridge with Wilson in tow, the two looking awfully out of place to meet with officers, both being in their full combat gear. Wilson still had blood splattered across his helmet, for Christ's sake. Of course, he was the one to get strange looks from the crew as the two headed to the bridge. Wolf entered first, Wilson following, and they both stood and waited for orders for Shadow Company.

Cain continues to carry crates off of Quickblast's ship as he looks up at the intercom. [Well... Might as well introduce myself... As if that'll go well.] Cain lets out a sonar pulse. Confirming the bridge's location, he sets down a crate and begins walking. [...Somebody's going to pull a gun on me. I can feel it already.]

Sure enough, immediately on entry to the Bridge, a few security officers take aim at you with rather ineffective-looking pistols, but the First Officer tells them to stand down. Though he looks like a Human, the deep underlay of his voice reveals the fact that he is an android, and the look on his face betrays the fact that a neural implant is feeding him information, most likely about you. "Ambassador Cain... On what terms do you find it appropriate to stroll onto a Triumvirate vessel unescorted?"

Edited by Wretched Cain: 3/6/2016 7:24:34 PM[My own authority, built upon the basis of your rather primitive weaponry and my own atomic self-destruct sequence. And my escort.] He steps aside, Silver walking into the bridge.
-
The Officer tilts his head in acknowledgement. "You make a persuasive argument Ambassador. Let me rephrase me question then: Why are on a Triumvirate vessel?"
-
[Normally, I'd spout some drivel about the destruction of the human race, looking for a long lost artifact— or perhaps some piece of information I've been chasing across the ends of the universe. But, fortunately for you, that's not why I'm here today— or, for that matter, it never will be again. Short version: I was deemed a heretic and escaped before they could pull my soul out through my solarium skull. As such, I'm looking for refuge... And perhaps a job on the side.]

*as the last of the crates are taken off his ship, Quickblast says goodbye to Silver then hops in his fighter and takes off, leaving the hanger. Silver turns to Cain, motioning for Cain to follow him to the bridge
-
Cain thinks on it for a moment, reluctantly deciding to walk side by side with him. [If they reach for their guns I'm going to paint the walls with their brains, is that clear?]
-
*he walks down the hall, turning his head slightly to talk to Cain "Understood. Just remember: you are my guest here. You cross me, and you will regret it."-Silver
-
Cain walks in front of Silver, crossing over to the other side in a clear act of smartassery. [Oh, completely.]
-
"Good. Just don't get cocky. There are enough of those people on the team as it is."-Silver *he continues walking to the bridge
-
Aveline reports in* "some action, finally!"

Jaeger puts on his helmet, closing the faceplate and checking his weapons

Alexandra and Natalie walk to the bridge, both with firearms and respective armour in tow.
-
Kat entered the bridge, her helmet retracting as she walked to the officer "A random distress signal? You do know we're in pirate space, right?"
-
The First Officer turns around to look at her, analyzing her with a cool, unreadable gaze. "Yes, currently we are, but we should be entering warp-" The background of the bridge changes to the inter-dimensional miasma of warp space, and metal plates cover the windows to ensure that none of the crew gets nauseated. "As I was saying, where we're heading is, well, in uncharted space. This planet, Helsing, has anomalous readings of such intensity, that we had sent out research ships almost three years ago to explore a particular region of interest. Until now, we haven't heard from them."
-
"So you just jump at it? Not the greatest idea"
-
"This distress beacon was of the highest degree, and not one that would be used lightly. I'm afraid we don't have much of a choice."
-
"Alright then, alert me when anything else happens" She turns, going off to converse with her team
