THE DIVISION CHUCKING SOME SERIOUS SHADE AT DESTINY???
BUNGO!!!
HOW DO YOU RESPOND?!?!?!
I honestly feel like the division is the best thing that could happen to destiny. it needs utterly stomps Destiny and Hopefully that'll kick Bungos ass into high gear
So technically I'm still right.
This is division taking a jab at destiny, using GAMEZONE quote.
You guys need to flex those neurons

Destiny has some loyalty to it, many games have come before to "kill it" few have. The Division will lose its luster after awhile #MakeDestinyGreatAgain

For all the comments below about where the quote actually came from: This is all nice and well...but not what OP is saying. What OP is saying is that Ubisoft is seeking a direct confrontation. The facts about the quote do not negate the fact that Ubisoft is in fact firing shots (throwing shade) directly at Bungie and the Destiny franchise and is positioning themselves directly as an alternative/ active competitor by "dissing" the competition.

Bought destiny the day it was released but wasn't planning on playing it as much as I did and now I have over 1000+ hours. Not very hyped for division and just bought it yesterday so I'm starting to like going into games with 0 expectations
-
Well uhh, we're gonna do an hour-long livestream of us doing some low level story missions and patrolling the Dreadnaught map that was released 6 months ago. We'll act like its new and everyone will come back to grind some more!
-
You realize all review quotes (movies, books, games ,etc)they use on advertising can me portions of sentences that give them the quote they need. The orginal line from IGN could be, Ubisoft wishes it blows destiny out of the water but only meets the bar and doesn't raise it. If we believed all quotes in advertising then Green Lantern would be one of the greatest super hero movies of all time. We know how that really turned out. I wouldn't worry about what Ubisoft says.

I wasn't that impressed with the beta. I will form a better opinion on Tuesday ; )
-
Haha, that quote was taken out of context.
-
Edited by Swiftlock: 3/4/2016 10:06:31 PMI hope you know that quote is totally bogus. GameZone was talking about the number of players in The Division's beta test blowing Destiny's # of beta players out of the water. Ubisoft pulled the quote out of context and twisted it to make it look like it was referring to the final product. I wish it was more scandalous than that, but this is simply a case of Ubisoft's PR being stupid and not much else. I'm all for other devs taking shots at Destiny, but they need to do it right.

Edited by Dona: 3/4/2016 10:01:33 PMThe Division was lurking in the destiny forum and pretty much took every ideas that the destiny players wants and suggested in the destiny game.

Only reason The Division got SO MANY beta players is because of Destiny's success. It spawned & revolutionized the genre. Thus all recruits to the industry, from FPS industry, subsequently tried it. If Bungie would do THIS https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/194911006/0/0 Destiny would continue to wash the industry with awe, and put CoD out of business. Sorry ActiVision.

1. The "best new franchise" quote was from 2013. 2. "Blows destiny out of the water" was a reference to their open beta numbers. Everyone should know by now that major gaming companies will lie to generate hype for their game. http://kotaku.com/the-divisions-new-anti-destiny-advertisement-is-incredi-1762884622

Edited by The Warrior: 3/4/2016 9:34:28 PMWow the thirst is strong lmao That quote was based on the amount of beta players, not the actual game itself I signed up for the division beta and played it about an hour. It sucked to me but I'm not a big third person shooter fan. The point is that for an open beta on all platforms, whose install base has multiplied since destiny released in 2014, that number isn't really all that impressive in comparison Gg Ubisoft clowns

I actually had to look for it for a few minutes.

It's important that you know that it was from a game zone article comparing the 6.3m division beta participants to the 4.8m destiny beta participants, it's taken out of context pretty massively if you think it was about quality. Link: http://www.gamezone.com/news/the-division-blows-destiny-out-of-the-water-with-6-4-million-beta-players-3434015 Also the best new franchise was from the 2013 e3 show, not out of context but a bit old and have probably said that about another franchise since.
-
lol. clearly youre not up to date when that quote was made
-
By Gamezone lol? Pls. Im defending Destiny but Gamezone is as relevant as Fox.
-
Comparing a 3rd person shooter to a first person shooter is just silly.
-
Lol that's awesome. Although, I'm not going to play the division. Mainly because I don't want to get dragged into and caught up in another grind game. I'll just stick to my crucible matches. I literally just log in, jump on my gunslinger, don't care about bounties or nf or featured playlist. Just play a few rumble matches and get off.

Is it just me that doesn't take statements like those 2 in that picture as Gospel? That "blows destiny out if the water" statement is just one persons opinion, it's one statement and that does not represent how a game is going to be, even videos don't properly tell you whether you'll love a game or just like it, there will be people out there who hate the division. Games companies pick the best statements to put on its cover to increase sales, I guarantee there are negative reviews out there,

I don't trust ign, they -blam!-in gave Pokemon 7/10 for too much water

A brand new launch, vs a game going into its 3rd year....wtf did you think was going to happen? Numbers are tricky, since it's available on PC, more people had a chance to play, I'm going to guess PC gamers out number ps3 and 360 players, since I know that argument is coming. It's a shiny new toy lots of people will play with, I'm tempted to try it myself, but you're kidding yourself if you think it's going to be much different than Destiny. Everyone will come back for the next DLC and Destiny 2 anyways.

There year one plan is almost the same as destinys.
