Sometimes it's hard to tell if:
they are secretly brimming with confidence and about to drop something on us that is going to make us all say "I'm sorry for questioning you"
or
they are falling apart and so bereft of direction and understanding that they are really just stalling for more time
3 weeks Bungie. You are on the clock.
INB4
I realize it's probably calendar, not clock. I just think clock sounds more foreboding. Dun dun duuuuuuuuh
Edited by samwenchester: 3/5/2016 7:56:31 PMMe and my friend have a theory that they are purposefully trying to kill destiny so Activision will tear up the contract and they can move on to another game. It makes no sense on why they wouldn't have any transparency in this business. I mean that's one of the most important things when you have a community following this big. Only real explanation is they want out amd they are going to kill it on purpose. If they put out an article tomorrow admitting to everyone what really happend before launch that caused destiny to be such a turd, I'd say more than 50% of the once loyal players would buy in again no questions asked. It's all about being loyal to the fans. Transparency is a big part of that.

Personally I believe these types of posts don't help. Useless polls and bad jokes, if people didn't rush through the content and expect more every week they wouldn't complain. The stream was interesting seeing the inspiration for the design and next week I will be just as interested. People should chill out and if you don't want to play Destiny any more then stop ragging on it and play something else.

They just blow our minds by releasing enough free PvE content in the spring update on par with DLC we paid for. Or there's just another fusion rifle nerf. Only time will tell.
-
No matter what it is the community will just roll their eyes and continue to hate.
-
What is "briming" and "bereft?"

Edited by Mooooooose: 3/6/2016 5:56:19 AMI can't imagine that it's confidence. I don't like to add to the salt in this community, it's salty enough as it is, but if this purported Spring "DLC" is still happening and they were proud of it / organized, they'd be hyping the crap out of it with how many other games are coming out. I'm honestly a little worried about how little info / hype there is for the Spring update when we're in Spring (I know it's coming later, just saying). They would do well to share / leak something in the very near future to drum up more interest or at least make people pay attention to them in a way that isn't Destiny being compared to other games or Bungie's lack of communication. Hell, look at Blizzard and WoW Legion. That game isn't coming out until November and they're releasing every scrap of information they can every chance they get. Back on point, I do hope that the radio silence is due to them getting their proverbial shit together under the new CEO and not a lack of confidence in the content. I am cautiously optimistic, but we'll just have to wait and see.
-
I'm still waiting on that fusion rifle nerf!!!

You are not bungie's mother. You decide what they during this this time. If you don't get the update on a specific date, you don't get the update. Mature a bit and learn patience.

Edited by nickhendry: 3/6/2016 6:08:01 AMFirst time I've ever seen "bereft" on these forums. Nice vocab you education is noticeable!!!
no sarcasm here either lol
Bungie is struggling. It's a game that is more than they could handle. I think the game could of have been so much more with Microsoft backing them. But we all know it would be like halo series. A xbox exclusive. A game like this deserves to be for all systems. Just wish it was not Activision they went with. But I'm hoping with the division around the corner. A game that has similar architecture will give the competition this game needs to go further. And yes I do have the division pre ordered. And I will play both. But ubisoft is listening to the players. And you can trade equipment with people in your squad that your playing with only. Otherwise your out of luck. From the information I have gathered. And bungie....made a twitch office. The resources could be spent better. I'm hopeing bungie is being quiet about what will be next. Waiting to see what ubisoft dose. But I also think a game like destiny dose not need a destiny 2. That's a money grab in my opinion. They can keep adding on to what's already going. Keep expanding the game. If free to play games can do that bungie can too. To solve this make a year two season pass. 30 dollars. Done. Another $60 plus a season pass. Just to continue the game in destiny 2. And so far the way bungie has been.....no. I might as well spend that in a free to play game where I can play the entire game for free and spend money for the bells and whistles. That's my opinion.

Tick tick tick........

I still have faith...
-
Bungie- Says they know their on the hook for not giving us any information and then proceeds to not give us any information. That really hit me hard in the bungie faith this time.
-
I so agree with this post. I mean, with the $ millions and $ millions on the line and the faith of their customers this seems to be a big build up. Hope it's a giant log and not just a fart!

Hopefully somethin good

Edited by An Engram Full Of Bees: 3/5/2016 7:39:29 PMTo be completely honest with you, I have no clue what either of those words mean. I just picked whichever one sounds more sexual

their clock is broken, it had a few springs pop out and the cukoo hung itself.
-
Bereft, obviously. They clearly had no plan going into year 2. I guess they really thought these little timed microtransaction fronts-- I mean "events" would sustain the game for a year? Anything they do now is just in response to the community being upset with their inactivity, not because they had some grand plan waiting in the wings.
-
They definitely have stuff in the works. They're just not in any hurry to promote a free update.
-
I hope it's the first one
-
I love the new twitch stream and hope they do loads more, it's car crash TV at its finest. The awkward silences, the questions that no one has a clue how to answer, the forced joviality and the obvious lack of social skills of any form. All whilst a constant stream of abuse and derogatory comments flood the left side of the screen with unadulterated bile and venom. I lol'ed the whole way through it, can't wait for the dvd to be released :)
-
With what appears to be Destinys biggest competition coming out on Tuesday I would hope they have a good announcement for us at least.
-
Off topic: I been playing Fallout4 anyone know if I start over do I keep my current weapons or do I have to start fresh? Cause is so that's gonna suck.
-
At this point, they should have at least given us some information. The fact that they haven't shows that the dev team doesn't know what they can and can't tell DeeJ.
