I'm just saying (and in Gen 6 terms, because current metas), but they all have their imperfections, Charizard is the most ascetically pleasing and gains a Dragon typing with Charizardite X but it's the most frail, not to mention rocks, Blastoise had been proven to be super effective vs most of Kanto and gets a HUGE. FREAKING. CANNON on its back upon a Mega evolution, but it's very slow potentially leaving it open to electric type attacks and a swift OHKO if you are not careful/haven't made it bulky and Venusaur can gain a massive speed boost in the sun and is the best special attacker of the three and when it mega evolves, it weakens its two biggest type disadvantages through Thick Fat, being Ice and Fire by half, effectively making them do normal damage and making it only weak to Psychic and Flying, which because of the current meta, are still common types today. This is not meant to ruin anyone's childhood, but I kinda based it of the meta, even then, they'd be trounced 1000 times over by even other generation's starter Pokemon, I do get that people love them cause it's their first (tbh, I feel the same with Greninja) but at the end of the day, it's opinion. I'd say Venusaur is the best of the three for the fact that it can be either super agile with the help of Charizard Y, a Ninetales or Sunny Day or the tankiest of the Kanto starters with the mega stone.

Edited by NICKSPALSBURY: 3/4/2016 6:40:07 PMEveryone knows there is no good high level grass Pokemon whereas there are plenty of substitute fire and water Pokemon therefore the correct answer is always my boi Bulbs A good follow up question is what did you name your rival!?!?!?
-
Bulbasaur has: Poison Powder Stun Spore Sleep Powder Solarbeam And plenty more other great attacks at its disposal.
-
Speaking pure competition charmander cause of mega charizard y is a monster. But if we're talking gen 1 games than bulbasaur. He solos the first 2 gyms.
-
Almost a perfect penis poll
-
I wish bulbasaur evolved into charzard.
-
Penis poll, I choose you!

Edited by Savage Coconut: 3/4/2016 6:47:46 PMI always choose fire type, they just seem the most strong

I choose you, penis poll.

Obviously Bulbasaur! He levels up pretty well, is capable of taking on the first two gyms by itself, learns Solar Beam and is a total baller. Second place would be Squirtle due to making Brock a pushover, can use the TM you get from Misty and can learn Cut and Surf. Charmander? Weak against both first gyms, isn't really useful until Celadon City and doesn't learn great moves until much later. But my favorite starter overall? All about that Totodile life. http://pre09.deviantart.net/eccc/th/pre/i/2013/279/1/6/chief_totodile___by_chobi_pho-d6pexl4.png

I picked bulbasaur... But ended up regretting it when fighting my rival's charizard on Victory Road. I switched to squirtle and beat the game. So idk
-
Squirtle ftw
-
Science has already spoken =p
squirtle is the clear winner
-
Lenny ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )

Charmander. Easiest Pokemon play through of all time is Pokemon Y with mega Charizard-Y.
