So today, went into work at 10:30. Pretty normal day. I worked in a restaurant. I wasn't very busy today, spent a lot of time thinking. Then I wondered if I would still be working there in 6 months. The first thought that occured to me after that was "I'd rather kill myself, than be working here in 6 months still. " So I took my break, went out to have a smoke, and just left. If that's how working there makes me feel then I'm not going to do it. So If anyone has any questions AMA.

Edited by Cultmeister: 3/5/2016 1:11:09 AMWell that's one way to do it I guess. Good luck getting through an interview after the "Yeah I didn't even hand in my notice, I just left halfway through a shift because I wasn't feeling it" part.

You're free! Now, spread your wings and fly.

*puts on an antic disposition* Go back, apologize for leaving, and tell them you're quitting. Then it's up to them if that's it or you have a few more shifts to complete.

Will your nipples explode??

Well, I'd do the same. If a place feels like you just want to end yourself, then you should just go imo. Sure most people have to keep their job because of money. But I wouldn't want that.

Did you quit your job?

What's your middle name?

You should've taken an upper decker in one of the toilets before you left. That's what I did at my last job. Little something for them to remember you by.
-
Hand in the damn notice, what the hell.

In my country that'd mean never getting an accepted application ever again lol well in most circumstances. In my country we do something called "working under the table" where you aren't officially a worker but work there anyway and get paid. People do it so they don't pay tax or if you don't have references. A bad thing though is that businesses almost always pay you under the expected bracket. For example the minimum wage is ($15-$16?) an hour in New Zealand and they can pay you $10 if they wanted to because they aren't in a legal contract with you
the more you know lol
Well, you're already killing yourself by smoking

I'm glad you have the choice to quit your job. Wish I could but unfortunately bills and such mean I can't and if I have no job then I have no money. No money=no life what so ever D:
