I kinda feel bad for Bungie. You could see the worry in their eyes as they read the comments during the stream.
I think that they're getting a whole lot of hate that is really unfair to them. Like CoD players who are pissed off at the RNG. They made a game that is a hybrid of things that don't really go fantastic together. Well, they work fine together, just the communities don't go well together. Yes Destiny is a good game, but it can't serve the market of all the FPS players who came expecting that RNG wasn't going to be a major factor. And all the MMO players are already hooked on other MMOs and those who actually came out and tried the game seem to really like it. But all the FPS players are giving Bungie a hard time because they don't have experience with the kind of game Bungie has made. It makes me kinda sad.
Another problem is what I call "The Zippers". They binge the content and zip through it at an unreasonable pace, and then bitch and moan about a lack of content. Destiny actually has loads of content. You've just gotta play casually. That's what the game is designed for. TTK could easily last 6 months without the Zippers. But the Zippers seem to all have come to play Destiny. And I'm sure that they are just a small minority of the player base and that most of us actually have fun with the game casually. But they're a really vocal minority. And Bungie noticed them. That's why we got TTK so big. That's also why we get events. But I'm sooo -blam!-ing tired of Zippers bitching and moaning all the mother-blam!-ing time!
So basically Bungie, you listened to the wrong group of players. You listened to the vocal minority. So now everyone's bitching. Thanks for reading, if you made it this far. Peace.
EDIT 1: So, a lot of you have been saying how you need to play for loot and stuff, but I speak from the actual main standpoint of the game, to have fun. Playing at a slower pace makes the game longer lasting and more fun.
EDIT 2: Will Bungie see this? No, probably not. But Donald Trump is a strong presidential candidate, Leo won an Oscar, and Kanye West is broke. Anything is possible in 2016. So Bungie may see this.
EDIT 3: I understand that Bungie has made a lot of blunders with Destiny but I also believe that it's the community's fault for misinterpreting what this game is.

In summary, delusional.

So basically what your saying is in order for TTK to last 6 months that means we would have to like play 1 mission a week or so. When it comes to destiny their are no such thing as "zippers" it took me about 3-4 hours to do 70% of the missions. Going from lvl 34 to 40 literally took me no more than 1.5mins they come out with 1-3 new missions every 6 months and than what? There's no side quests no story missions nothing I mean nothing at all. You log in every day and do what? That same 6 daily bounties and after that it's back to floating in orbit for hours. I want bungie to come out with stats to show everyone that plays spend more time in orbit than actually playing the game. No get Gud or sell the game none of that just my opinion. So the grammar police can stay at home

I agree to an extent, but when you have events like "raids" and "pvp" that require a certain Light level to get in and or play effectively, these "zippers" are doing what they need to do in order to get into these events. They want to play the raids they want to compete in trials of osiris and iron banner but in order to do so they have to a certain light and the only way to get that is to grind the game. I understand your point, but bungie is partly at fault for this. For example The TTK dropped on a tuesday and their most anticipated even yet "kings fall raid" was released on the same week that friday. So with there being a requirement to have a certain light level in order to get into this event, many or destiny players grinded the game as much as they could within those 3 days so they could play it! I know i was one of the players i played day in day out those 3 days with minimal sleep in order to play the new raid. I was done with the whole story and most of the quest lines within those 3 days. If we really wanted to play that raid we didn't really have a choice. I might add i am not one of the players in the community that are complaining about lack of content. I am simply saying that bungie is mostly at fault for releasing the raid so early to the release of the TTk and putting a level requirement on it. We were forced to burn through all the content if we wanted to play the raid, so i think that is why many players are expecting more content. Which with a game like destiny i do believe to keep it fresh and alive something new should be released every 3 months or so to keep people entertained and interested. Even if it is something small and or if we even have to pay for it. My point is though i believe bungie made a mistake by releasing the Raid with a requirement of a certain light just 3 days after the TTK.If they would have taken their time with releasing the raid then people would have taken their time going through the story and quest lines, Rather than being forced to rush through it to participate in the event. If they were going to release it that early it may have been a smart idea to not put a requirement light on it. That way people would not have rushed the story and the quests and would have been able to participate in the raid and still have plenty of content to play. Since everyone felt like they were forced to rush it in order to play the raid i think the majority of people thought that this cant be it, bungie would be releasing more content "which makes perfect sense". In the long run i believe the way bungie structured it, it's their fault that people are upset. Me personally I am not.

yay i found a correct person!!!!:)

Exactly. You see all of these clowns with max grimoire and all the fragments less than a week after the DLC was dropped. You googled and youtubed your way through the game but now you want to bitch at a gaming dev for not making enough content for you Fact is there isn't a way to make enough content for people because all they're gonna do is use guides to fly through it. Nobody plays games anymore I'm a borderlands player so I have fun playing around and experimenting with different guns and builds in pve and pvp. Don't get me started on these idiot pvp tryhards and cry babies who ruined the fun that was vanilla crucible.

Trump wants you to see his zipper.
-
We told them kindly, We told them roughly, We told them directly, We told them indirectly, We told them during the streams, We told them through the forums, We told them in funny way, that the content should be improved and we need to keep the fun. And the surprising fact is, after all this comments and expectations from the community, " this week at bungie is about " the sounds ". We appreciated already and playing this game is a proof of it. So ; Listen to your community, feed us with excitement, challenge us with the impossible and we'll keep defending the tower.
-
Really??! A good candidate??!!! 1. He is not even close to a good candidate 2. What does Donald Trump have to do with bungie???!!!
-
No, but seriously bungie, time for new content.....SOON!!!
-
I guess I'm a hybrid zipper/sherpa because I like to get everything done right now then go back and help everyone else. I'm a completionist on Tuesdays and a casual the rest of the week. Good post OP.

Man I like this game it's fun, when playing casually it's just a good time, why can't other people just do that play casually.
-
If they had an ounce of sense they would disregard any feedback that comes from this forum entirely, it's a toxic mess and contributes nothing to the improvement of the game. When they make crucible changes they move slow and seem to base it on statistics which is exactly right, they need to do everything like that - just take this ball of unrealistic expectations and entitlement and toss it out the window.
-
I feel that another reason would be activision

The biggest blunder IMO is Bungie's ability at stratigc communications......or to make things simple....how they communicate with their customers. For instance....Bungie stated their one of their goals was that they wanted players to play longer at higher levels. Ok, that's fine but when you build a RNG system that doen't support goal; either change the system or stop staying things you can't or not willing to support. Another example: Weapons tuning. Bungie once stated It was a HC role to act as a scout rifle (think the original Y1 hunter build). People ignore that goal and started complaining that a HC has too much range. So Bungie nefs the HC to the point that is doesn't get used much. How about neft the impact and not the range if the goal was to be able to fill the role of a scout? Either way, what Bungie says and what they do is usually at tension with each other and not a good way to run a business.

i have just about everything in the game, have a a ton of time played, and i play destiny solely almost every day. i have no interest in battlefield or cod and will not be playing the division either. though the pvp has become unbearable with lag and instability, i still have alot of fun in pve and help random people off LFG do raids nightfalls ect when i have finished my things. i love destiny and support bungie as well and have bought all the special edition games and consoles since the original halo 1green elite edition console. the zippers are a problem and cry alot but the reward system should be a little more rewarding especially after they advertised that there would be more frequent good loot drops and less repetitive drops. i've been trying to get the anahata shader from cryptarch since ttk came out and so far i have gotten one shader "feud unfading" on one character after 50 ranks. also i didnt get my first hanged man shader from dead orbit until i was rank 141 on my main. even if i had every piece of gear, ship, shader, and weapon i will still continue to play, but then again i'm not from the entitlement generation
-
Bungie listens? O○O
-
Would you rather put the tip of your PP in a vajin and go super slow and make it last 2 hours? Or, would u rather stick your whole PP, mix the speeds up and finish strong in like 6 to 7 minutes? Zipper in destiny> Tip of PP putter of Vajin
-
The community can't misinterpret a game that had literally no vision associated with it. How many times have you heard Luke Smith reference how they are trying to figure out exactly what Destiny is.
