With the current state of PVP and with the last Iron banner Bungie needs to do something about snipers. Let me give you 2 scenarios.
#1) I come around a corner to see a crouched guardian at the end of a hallway. I pull up and get one, two, 3 headshots all in rapid succession and then BAM dead. How in the world is he able to line up a headshot between getting hit with my 320 Hung Jury. In my opinion if a guardian is getting hit with constant fire there should be enough shock and sway from the incoming fire not create a miss.
#2) Im playing Iron banner as a 319. I know there's a low level guardian on the other team in the 290-295 range. I am thinking I am pretty safe and BAM killed by ICEBREAKER! Are you kidding me?? You can pull out a 170 level gun in Iron Banner and get a 1 hit kill with a year 1 gun?? That kind of defeats the point of Iron Banner doesn't it?
Before Iron banner I played the open Beta of the Division and wow was it a wake up call. Bungie has completely destroyed the weapon balance from the original vanilla PVP. Here's the thing. Auto rifles have range, they just have more spread at longer distances. A slow fire auto rifle has more accuracy than a bullet hose. Revolvers kick like crazy, and rapid firing make them pretty impossible to stay on target. Maybe, just maybe Bungie can actually balance the guns to make them more realistic than this current garbage they have us playing with right now.

When you are scoped in with a sniper and are getting shot continuously it is still possible for you to either 1. Wait for the moment between your opponents shot or 2. Just drag your scope and land a headshot. Your scope bounces up and down when you are getting hit so it is possible to land a shot on the downwards part of the recoil provided you time your trigger pull properly. (Sry if that was rly confusing)

You do realize a sniper should feel powerful and the wielders hands and be a threat to the other team right
-
It's not just that. It's that snipers are just as deadly close range as they are far range since all of them carry an f'n last word that takes no aiming skill at all. Just crank the trigger so long as two shots land they're good. Just getting bored of seeing the same weapons. Nothing bungie hasn't heard before yet they continue to make certain guns more powerful than others. Missing the variety.

Why we use overpowered weapons - https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/194582734/0/0

Then quit.

I thought there was Level Advantages in Iron Banner?"

I feel the same way. I was playing against people in Trials who were getting one-hit kills with Icebreaker. It's stupid. I mean, I equip snipers because I don't use shotguns, but I use my primary almost the whole game. I only use my special weapon in SPECIAL situations.

HUGE sniper handling nerf must be implemented but bungie already said snipers are "fine" and they wont adjust them.
-
Everybody is ...well except for snipers and I have seen post from them being sick and tired of em
-
Incompetent Bungie loves sniper
-
I agree, they should nerf fusion rifles.
-
I agree snipers need some tweaking. Scouts are indeed a good counter to them but you have to be quick. It's not impossible though. I get real satisfaction seeing their little camper heads blow out from my scout with firefly.

deal with it

Return the Thorn to its former glory just for Trials, and you'd see snipers/TLW almost disappear overnight. Return the Hopscotch Pilgrim, to its former glory and you'd see snipers/TLW users cut in half. The most often used anti-snipe gun now is the scout. The scout user has to make 4 head shots to win that fight, the snipe just one. The Thorn would put snipers on the run with just one hit. A couple episodes of that, and they give it up. The Hopscotch pilgrim could kill at snipe ranges with two trigger pulls (6 bullets). Even without a kill, it would do enough damage to put snipers off sniping. Bungie removed all of the best anti-snipe guns in the game. So, here we are...

Destiny is not based on realism. Division is third person Destiny is first person completely different mechanics. It takes 2 or 3 magazines to kill a human unarmored target, how is that real? PvP balance does not exist in the Division, the best gear wins in the DZ that us it. Once we were level 12 DZ rank we wiped the floor with everyone else. Our gear was better that's not balance. The Crucible is more balanced now than ever, the snipers could use some more flinch but it took a year and 3 months to balance shotguns, I'm sure there will be a balance update with the spring update drops. If you want a realistic PvP experience pick up Rainbow Six it's pretty awsome but it has problems too. They patch once a month with fixes.

Use mida. Hidden perk: high caliber rounds Problem solved.

Division beta was an eye opener... in that I won't be purchasing it as I don't want a 3rd person shooter and with my time going down on destiny, I now I'll get more sleep and ultimately feel better... there is still lack of options for me. I'm glad many others are stadding to get more options as this is hope for me in the future. Far as the snipers in pvp... I too noticed this but it's clash and you need 50 kills with it or a shotgun.

Awh you mad
-
Nope snipers are fine.
-
Uhm buds.. The flinch that snipers have in y2 IS MUCH HIGHER THAN Y1 Y1 get shot with 6 scout rifle bullet and nothing happens to aim Y2 get shot with one scout rifle bullet and feels like a Nova bomb hit you;) Stop complaining and start using a sniper;) just because your shotgun got nurfed

"Nerf Sniper Rifles, I didn't catch the bullet."

Agree

This goes out to the people crying for nerfs Perk name: Crucibaby's cry Effect: When someone crys for a nerf over the forum the player loses 2-3 random perks from his/her subclass. These perks would become replaced with Crucibaby's cry so everyone knows he/she cried nerf. Note: this effect would stack and be permanent. The Crucibaby's cry will drop the attack values by 10% per perk removed

I just made a topic on what you said about a 170 weapon in iron banner. I got hit with her courtesy a shotgun and I am level 309. I also wrote about trials of osirus. trials are supposed to be best of the best but there are so many cheaters not all but most and I dont like it. it slows down you kill them first and then they kill you and they die giving you postmortem? what's with that? smh
