Edited by The Arxfiend: 2/28/2016 8:30:13 PMFunny, I'd like to see your stats.
No characters
Lol, goodbye.

What's funnier is that you think that somehow invalidates his opinion lol
-
It actually does. Unlike me, he doesn't have anything to notify that this is an alt. He's straight up hiding.

He's straight up hiding.
You missed the part where not showing his stats doesn't invalidate his opinion. He could have not played this game at all and his opinion would still be valid. because it's his opinion and that's what an opinion is.
-
Wrong. I dont get the whole "all opinions are valid" No. An opinion is simply how somebody feels. Nothing more nothing less. Just because a person' might have an opinion that the Sun is a ball of Ice, water is dry, or Activision is a wholsesome company, doesnt't mean they can't be wrong

Edited by freshlydunbread: 2/28/2016 10:34:11 PM
Wrong. I dont get the whole "all opinions are valid"
Okay, so you don't get it. That doesn't make it wrong. It used to be pretty universally recognized concept. Also, factuality and validity are not the same thing, so I don't know what your examples are expected to accomplish.

va·lid·i·ty /vəˈlidədē/ noun 1. the quality of being logically or factually sound; soundness or cogency - www.thefreedictionary.com/validity Yes validity = factual. If your opinion isn't factually sound then it is not valid. Would the CEO of Wal-Mart ask for the opinion of a little boy from N Korea about investment strategies? No. Because his opinion is invalid

Edited by freshlydunbread: 2/28/2016 11:06:37 PMYes, thank you, o' pretentious one! I do know the definitions of "valid". However, an opinion can be factually incorrect. That does not make it an invalid opinion. Validity of an opinion is not based on factuality; It's based on the subjective interpretation of the one receiving the opinion. By the way, if you didn't cherry pick your definition, you would see that "validity" has context far beyond your cherry picked definition.

Edited by freshlydunbread: 2/29/2016 4:45:23 PMDo you really not know what cherry picking is?
(of an argument or point) having a sound basis in logic or fact; reasonable or cogent.
(This is your cherry picked definition. Mind you, an opinion is neither an argumentation nor is it a point of argumentation.)
having legal efficacy or force; especially executed with the proper legal authority and formalities

legally or officially acceptable.

appropriate to the end in view<every craft has its own valid methods>
(These are the other definitions that you've voluntarily left out.) You see how the definition you picked isn't the only definition of the word?? That's because when certain words are used with certain other words around them, they are given this thing called context. Once again, validity of an opinion is not based on factuality, but on the subjective interpretation of the one receiving the opinion. That's why you don't get it. Not because it's wrong, but because you just don't get it.
also, a CEO wouldn't act based on the opinion of a North Korean boy because his opinion is irrelevant, not invalid.
