Whilst I enjoyed your rant, it is some what incorrect, but not totally wrong either. I and a few others have discussed Year 2 Vs Year 1 and yes, we do not like what has happened. I for one hate the Strikes system, I hate how you earn your Legendary Marks, in Strikes your only option is the Heroics for 15 Marks, I just wonder why we can not have the old Strikes system back and reduce the Legendary Marks to the level of Strike you play. I totally and completely enjoyed the Tiger Strikes, so why can we not have this back at a reduced Marks cost to say 10 Legendary Marks.
Year 2 did leave Year 1 behind, this is a mistake by Bungie. Same as you said PvP Vs PvE, they are two completely different game type, yet Bungie in their infinite wisdom choose to ruin good and great weapons because they are pro PvP and any thing PvE is not worth shit.
However, Bungie has chucked out patch after patch to improve (try) the game. In Year 1 they were great at it, when Destiny first launched it was a disappointment, and after patch after patch they made it so much better, except for PvP, they completely -blam!-ed up PvP, listend to the fans too much, or you can just blame Bungie for being lazy and not understanding PvP and PvE are two different game types.
