Who likes the idea of Destiny 2 being on the Xbox 360 and PS3? Or at least likes the idea of Xbox One and PS4 getting exclusive content? Sure, Xbox 360 and PS3 are old, but they can still be updated, I'm i right?
I don't care if you give Xbox One and PS4 users all the new content. I only care if we all get some of the content.
EDIT: Really? 20 votes even though I offered a solution to your content problem?! Guess our forums are pretty salty.

Lol time to upgrade your system bud. The old gen stores are being shut down anyway. I think the psn store on the ps3 is already shut down from what i heard.

The issue really lies in RAM. Explanation of RAM in the spoiler tag for those who don't know.
R.A.M. Stands for random access memory which is a fancy way of saying how much your cpu/console can access at one time without overloading or shutting down. If I have a computer with lots of RAM I can have multiple games/videos/pages/whatever you desire going on at once whereas a computer with little RAM can't multitask to the same extent
Because old gen consoles have such little RAM they can barely handle the current games as is, which is why BLOPs 3 is multiplayer only on old gen. Old gen could barely handle the addition of vault space (it was a big deal when HoW dropped), so to include it in Destiny 2 would literally require a whole different team to ensure that the game was playable on old gen as well as content limitations. The game would barely be functional unless it was the exact same size as Destiny is now, which wouldn't be an improvement to the current condition of the game at all. Best case scenario for Bungie is that they cut ties with old gen and focus on new gen (which I'm 99% positive is what they will do). This would allow them to take larger strides and add more content without having to cater to a limited and dying generation of consoles. I played Xbox 360 until I updated to the Xbone very recently, and even while I was playing 360 I knew there was no chance of Destiny 2 being on old gen. If it is on old gen it will be a HUGE mistake by Bungie's part. Sorry, but that's just the way it is.

Edited by MVASNOOPY: 2/25/2016 1:33:51 AMHow are we "salty" just because some of us disagree with your "Idea"? Makes no sense. Only place old gen has left is in our hearts.

Destiny 2 will be an Atari 2600 exclusive.

Xbox 360 and PS3 need to die an stay dead, atleast in this aspect.
-
Problem is that those of us with ps4 or xb1 don't care if it's made for old gen. Those with old gen will most likely all vote yes.

The old gen consoles have been 10 years plus old. It's time to get a new console guys. Destiny 2 being on old gen will literally kill the game alone because the game will be so slow. I could care less about exclusive crap, i just think that the old gen everything needs to go. The next gen is the current gen now, and it's been out for a while. Xbox ones cost 350 now and idk about PS4 but I'm sure it's about the same. Just save up your paycheck and make good stock trades and you should be able to get one

Old Gen holds back potential. If Destiny were New Gen exclusive, the invisible barriers might be removed, and I might get the Open World RPG/FPS I was promised.

Developers can go all out and do what other newer games are doing. I feel bad for them but bungie needs to stop being stingy and key them have sum content. Like Crimson doubles that was like a year one event yet they wer locked out why?
-
I play on 360 but I don't want to hold destiny 2 back. I would rather buy an xbone than have destiny 2 be playable on the 360
-
The hardware of the old gen consoles hold new gen back, it is the same as with games developed for pc and console.

So who's going to be a dick and tell me I'm stupid for posting this?

Even though I play only on Xbone, I think there shouldn't be exclusive content for anyone. Everyone gets the same stuff for the same price
