Hello everyone. I keep getting ideas for possibilities on what Bungie can do for raids. so i have written one or two and id like to share one with you guys to see what you think. I have written these in 6 player strategies.There will be some vagueness on somethings that allow some things to be added. i do not know how to add pictures to the thread so i guess youll have to use your imagination.
Intro on load screen:
"Cayde and Ikora have come across some very disturbing information! A Cabal Mercenary Group calling themselves "the One Ton Mercenaries" have become a force to be feared across our system. They do not currently have a command structure but are not ruled by Cabal Military, they are commanded by no-one. They do as they please, when they please. We must stop this! They have taken possession of an abandoned fortress just outside Freehold. I hope you are prepared, and good luck"
Planet entry FMV:
"We cannot get to close, we will have to set you down roughly 1.6kms away"

Area puzzle 1:
The 1st area is to travel through a gorge, with landing columns by using your sparrow to jump these gaps set out between each landing area. Once this has been completed it with then lead to a magnetic mine feild, and cannot be walked across, so again using the sparrow to traverse it. Just before coming to the minefeild entrance, there will be a path leading to atop a cliff, that oversees the mine field. The idea for this area is for one layer to stay on top of the cliff and communicate with other teammates the path leading through the mine field. One 5 players have crossed the mine field, they will beable to stand on 5 pressure plates deactivating the mine field allowing player 6 across the mine field unharmed.
( I have map examples drawn up showing my meaning of these puzzles).
Area 2:
After Clearing the minefield player then will move forward into a staging area. A large up hill run. Players will start at the bottom and work their way up the winding hill on a path. Enemies will be split in 3 areas and each section will have its own set of enemies, and shall consist of 1 semi boss, who can only be damaged by one type of elemental damage ( Kinetic, Void, Solar, Arc), 3 colossus, 5 centurions and numerous legionaries and phlanx. Each section semi boss will get damaged by different type than the last. Each Section will also have a wall faintly marked by an insignia from each class ( Solar hammer, Golden Gun, Nova bomb etc). by hitting these insignia's with the super ability that matched will open a small cave with a chest inside ( Materials?).
Area 3 (Boss Activation):
Upon Reaching the top of the hill, players will come to the Gate of the Fortress. Along the wall there will be 9 slots, and above the slots will be roman numerals (IX, VII, III, IV, I etc) and inside the slot will be a symbol depicting a element ( Jump and Hover to see). The idea is players will have to throw a grenade inside these slots and once done in the correct order the gate will drop. If done in the wrong order, an alarm will sound and enemies will spawn in from nearby spawn caves. Players cannot retry untill all enemies are cleared.
Boss 1:
This boss will be a Phlanx type enemy, He will Capture enemies in a force field and charge at them, the force feild will randomly select 2 players and will be active for around 10 seconds (other players can shoot to destroy, but not the layer inside). He will then charge at one player, if reached the player dies. to beat this boss the idea is to surround the boss to wear his health down, but shooting the sheild of the phlanx will heal him. Upon death the boss will drop loot and open door to enter the fortress,

Players walk into the castle.
Ghost - " Welcome to the fortress of hopelessness"
Guardian - "Well thats pretty morbid name for a castle of mercenaries"
Ghost - " Tell that to their leader when we find him would you?"
Guardian - " Hmm, I think ill print it on a bullet, youve seen how big these guys are right?"
Ghost - " And i mistook you for fearless!"
Area 4 puzzle:
Upon entering the castle keep, the staging area for this is puzzle will be set up with an open area on bottom and a balcony running along all 4 walls. in the middle will be a 5x5 blank tiles. 3 will be 3 watch towers set up around the open area and on each tower is 1 of the part puzzle solution. On one tower is a 5x5 tile with different symbols (Hand cannon, Sniper rifle, Shotgun etc), this solution is to be copied on to the 5x5 tiles in the middle of the staging area floor. the second tower will have the same except the symbols are now elemental and the third is a mixture of both. Getting a tile wrong will sound an alarm which will flood in enemies from nearby spawn caves, the puzzle cannot be resumed until enemies are clear. if this happens the puzzle will reset that certain part of the puzzle ( Not start from puzzle 1 everytime). the tiles on the towers can only be seen through a medium to long range scope. once completed all 3 puzzle parts the tiles will drop away to reveal a stair case leading down.
Area 5:
Following the tunnel down from the last area, there will be torches on either wall, leading into a pitch black tunnel. the unlit torched through the tunnel will have to be lit by players using solar damage to see where they are going in the winding tunnel with pitfalls. The ghost light will not activate in this area. there will be a "Super wall" in this area with a chest inside. once all torches are it, at the exit of the tunnels a loot crate will appear.
Area 6:
This Next are will be completly deserted. This area will activate as soon as a player fires a weapon sounding and alarm and flood in with LOTS of enemies. The Objective here is to gain a total of 200-300 precision kills ( As so to look like you kill the army of the mercenaries in their layer).
(Legionaries, Phlanx and Psion's)
Once completed a Loot drop will happen.

Ghost " That seemed rather easy. Be careful , i dont think its going to get easier. "
Guardian " Yes sir. Lock n Load boys."
Area 7:
Players enter a Banner room looking staging area, with 5 or so pedestals that have no "trophy" on them. Behind each pedestal is a doorway and a hallway that leads to a room, only ONE player may enter each hallway and contains a semi boss (Lieutenant of sorts) each semi boss in each room will be a differnet type of cabal. each boss will drop a relic on defeat and must be placed on the correct pedestal. The holder of the relic will gain a "Power of the cabal" to figure out what relic goes onto which pedestal. A Cryptic description on the front of the pedestal ( Or a Banner next to it) will provide the answer to which pedestal is which. (Perhaps the same description that is on the grimoire card corresponding to each enemy of the cabal?) at the end of the hall before the door to the next area 3 chests will apear. only one will contain Epic loot.
Final boss:
Upon Leaving the banner room the players will enter a 2 story open area ( 1st floor has small raised platforms. 2nd floor is balconys with AA Guns). The boss has 3 Abilities, first of which an earth quake with kills any player on the floor, players muust get to one of the raised platforms to not die from this. second is, a lateral rocket attack which kills players that are on the platforms or on the balcony, and third is a rail gun attack whick will kill one player via lock on ( Screen will dim red edges to show they are targeted). to kill this boss, an AA gun will activate and has to be used to drain sheild of the boss, once sheild has been drained the boss will destroy the AA Gun used and players have to whittle away boss's health. this will take about 6-8 times (6 AA guns one for each player?) once boss has very little health he will become immune and flee to the next area.
He will lead players into the "Throne room" (Long room with 12 pillars)
Guns that players fire will not damage the boss, only aggro him. the objective of this is to draw fire from his "rail gun" to destroy each pillar. once all pillars are destroyed the boss will be killed by the rubble of the roof, dropping loot for players.
Mission End.
As i said i have Illustrations of each room and the set up of how i imaged each room to look but i donot know how to add pictures into the threads.
