What is it with young black men and talking about their love with their girlfriend?

I don't know. I don't think there's anything wrong with expressing your love for your significant other.

It's fine, I just see it's more common with younger black men than any other ethnicity. One example is I know this guy who's kik tag depicts him marrying and having kids with his girlfriend
