Sniping
Anyone noticed that whenever someone that can't snipe, gets sniped, they instantly blame aim assist and say sniping takes no skill?

5 RepliesNah it's broken, I can out shoot most with No Land Beyond so skill isn't my problem. There is no way I should be tagging you with a multi tool and you can still pull off a head shot with a 1000 yard because your scope doesn't move. No Land Beyond has the lowest aim assist out of any sniper in the game and I feel like all the others should be set to the same standard. If you truly believe you're a boss at sniping. Try pulling a 360 no scope with NLB, or triple down with 1 bullet. I've done it and it's not an easy feat.

17 RepliesThere are some shots that take full advantage of aim assist...drag scopes, and they would be much harder to achieve without aim assist. That's a fact....also it's strange how Eirenne has all but disapeared now litc has been fixed.....apparantly people used it because it was a good sniper lol. There is no doubt in my mind that some of the shots that I make with my 1k stare i'd never be able to make without the higher aim assist that stare has

1 ReplyAim assist should be a toggled option. It's a terrible thing in the game not because it is good but because it's bad. I can't tell you how many times I have a shot lined up or I'm shooting a target and someone runs across my line of sight and drags the screen all over the place. Sniping would be better without it.

2 RepliesI can't snipe, and i think sniping does take more skill than shotguns. I also don't blame aim assist, because i understand what it actually does. But god damn does it piss me off when i get sniped the second i turn a corner and there is no way the guy new i was coming. And i mean the second i come around the corner. Not when im already out in the open, not when my whole body is around the corner. No, the split fcking second my noggin pops out from the wall. Screw that garbage haha.

When will y'all realize that 1kys doesn't have the highest AA in the game? Some snipers base aim assist is higher then 1kys max aa.

Well, I'm an ok sniper. But I think a majority of people who run into issues sniping delay shots. They don't work with their aim assist at all. Its all about experience and knowing when to place shots. This is just my opinion.

3 RepliesThe destiny community is ridiculous. Any of you ever play call of duty? You could pull off 360 no scopes with ease in that game. Literally bump the aim trigger and shoot right in the head. I'm not saying it's not possible in destiny, but it's much harder. Sniping isn't easy. Shotguns are easy. I guarantee you nist people complaining about snipers use a Shotgun and they probably suck with snipers. Destiny is not perfect, but you can't blame something like aim assist for snipers being over powered. I like the shortgaze sight. And I like high impact snipers. The only one I have been able to get is the vendor version 1k stare. I've had 4 snipers drop that are high impact and everyone had garbage sights. So i will keep using the gun everyone hates because that's all I can get.

It doesn't... and I say this from a snipers point of view. AA is such a little thing about the problem with snipers.

The problem with sniping is that it removes any semblance of fun for the victim, especially if the victim is unawares he is being targeted. 1 shot kills will always be an issue in these sorts of games.

There are a lot of things in this game that don't work right....Sniper rifles are just another part of the problem with PVP.

I think the reason sniping is talked about is because it essentially removes parts of the map (sniping lanes). Some players want to be able to move freely and not be restricted to one area if they chose not to use a sniper

Aim assist isn't the only problem no sway so people walking around hard scoping its ridiculous something needs to be done

it does take skill, as a sniper myself. I would be talking sh!t if the hidden hand perk has made aim assist of the charts. Quick scope aim and its more or less an instant headshot kill.
