Check out the link to my Xbox DVR screenshots, the portal at the back of the room where the boss spawns was hinged open like a hobbit's door! Grenades will pass through the opening but my guardian could not. This was a Nightfall strike. I've not seen this before and I've run this strike a few times. Anyone else come across this before?
