So last night as I was putting the boy to bed my thoughts kept jumping to the fun I was going to have playing Destiny and running Trials of Osiris with my buds.
“Daddy are you going to play Destiny tonight?” My little boy said with wonder. He had seen me play before and always loved it when I got the bad guys.
“Yes son, daddy is going to play some Destiny tonight.” I said, the obvious excitement growing in my voice.
I tucked my little one away and then left the room. While I turned on my Xbox a growing tension started to grow in my bladder. A bathroom break was in order. I impatiently waited for the machine to turn on. When It did, I logged in my profile and found Destiny and fired it up. Finally, the growing tension in my bladder reached it maximum and I had to sprint to the bathroom in order to relieve myself. I do think I have the bladder the size of cantaloupe and for good reason. It took a while. Finally relieved I made my way back to the living room to join my comrades in death in carnage. As I rounded the corner I saw my little one perched up with his elbows on the TV stand. He turned around and I saw that beloved little smile and I glanced at my TV. Down in the slot where my Warlock used to be was a small “+” as in, click here to add a character. My heart sank as I realized what had happened. My Warlock was gone, along with it ALL of my 320 Raid gear and PvP weapons. My initial verbal outcry was very boisterous and ear splitting. My little one melted and it was here that I got to make a choice. How would I respond? The disappointment was real; it was almost like a heart break. So much time, gone. So much representation of my in game accomplishments, gone.

So, I got to demonstrate grace, mercy, and love to my son last night. I bent down and told his tear soaked little face that it was okay. It’s no big deal and that I love him deeply.
My little man was just trying to help me out, he was trying to log in my Warlock for me but just ended up deleting him. Not his fault, it wasn’t mine either. He was supposed to be in bed!!!
I had moved all my gear over to my Warlock to use him in Trials and then to go and help some friends with the Nightfall. With all that being said though, I WISH BUNGIE WOULD LET US LOCK OUR CHARACTERS!!!!!!
Any who, anyone else got some character deletion stories to share?
