Fire Emblem: Fates is a new game by Nintendo that I (And a lot of other people) have anticipated for many months. It's finally out, and now I don't know which to get. I know I'm not getting both, so which one should I get?

There's a version that included all 3 for a good price

EDIT: To elaborate, Conquest has more varied objectives and there's not many opportunities to train in between chapters, similar to past Fire Emblem games. Birthright seems to mostly just be to Rout the Enemy every time and you can easily train in between chapters like Awakening and Sacred Stones. I like the characters in both routes, but some of the characters in Conquest are just incredible so far in my playthrough. Effie, a female knight, is a beast and almost OHK everything and takes next to no damage. Charlotte, a female Fighter, has an incredible skill that gives her +40 crit if the unit you're attacking is female, and considering that one of her promotion options is Berserker and also gets a native crit boost and a lot of Hoshido units are female, she'll wreck.

What is revelation? Haven't heard of it. But I'm going with birthright

I would recommend all of them, but if you can't get them all, then I would go with Hoshido if you were more of a fan of awakening or Nohr if you want an experience that's more like classic fire emblem. Revelation is the best and most complete game, but it's dlc and will be a lot better if you played hoshido and nohr first.

Wow, does no one know what Fire Emblem is?

Just go for birthright

Birthright lets you lets you grind characters with optional missions. There is little mission variety, and not terribly difficult. Conquest is like the first FE game on GBA, no side missions, no easy mode, but more mission variety Consider it the Dark Souls version of Fates: demanding, but satisfying. Revelations is the complete package, and tells the real story from what I read, and it is the one I would go for; but I think it's dlc.

I don't know much about the stories as I haven't been keeping up with it, but I do know that you shouldn't play the neutral one first as it has spoilers for both storylines. You should play it last.
