It's a great remake of a classic game but I'd forgotten how unforgiving it was. There's a lot of trial & error & even though they've softened the difficulty a little compared to the original (you can now take a few shots before dying, for example) it can still be quite a frustrating experience. But yeah, definitely worth picking up at a low price & Abe is still to this day one of gaming's most quirkily unique characters.
