Do Atheists have a community?
I just had the chance to have a lovely talk with a guy cussing me out and accusing me of being atheist to appear smarter. When I replied that he should "research the atheist community to avoid sounding ignorant", he said that atheists don't have a community. What do you guys think?

Atheists are just people who don't have a religion. It's not like we come together to discuss about how nonexistent god is. If there was something like that I'd go like "Hey God isn't real." "I agree. Same time next week?" There isn't that much of a requirement for a community

There are atheist communities out there, but that doesn't necessarily mean all atheist participate in those communities. I certainly don't feel any need to.

We do. We also have some public intellectuals such as Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, Lawrence Krauss, Christopher Hitchens, Daniel Dennett etc

Atheists have a community. A community doesn't need a supernatural force to exist. For example, the Xbox live community consists of hundreds of thousands of people, yet we all have different ideas and thoughts.

Atheist communities are as hard to find as herds of cats. We are defined by what we don't believe in, not what we do.

Well there is humanism which is basically a community that is similar to a religions community in a lot of ways. You know just without all the stuff that religions got wrong.

Every group of people on the planet has a community: humans, being the most social animals, will always have communities.

There are atheist groups all over the internet and in the real world. But as all groups of people I tend to avoid them cause people are idiots in groups.
