halo has a better overall army, but destiny has much better individual soldiers
English

Why their specials don't seem to be beyond anything the Spartans can handle.
-
destiny has much better individual soldiers
Why? Spartan II's and IV's could dodge every super, save for Golden Gun. For GG, Spartans could use Armor Lock or a Bubble/Drop Shield. They could also just kill the Guardian first.

-
Except they aren't. Why do people keep saying that when there are dead Guardians within the Destiny universe?
-
* Loads TX-130 Saber-Tank lazer round* They are immortal. Those who died has thiet light consumed by the darkness which drains them of the immortality. Since the Halo universe does not have the "darkness", the Guardians have nothing that can drain their light and thus be immortal.
-
That's just a figure of speech. What actually happens is a ghost can't rez a guardian in darkness, thus the ability to die. Destroying a ghost (which would be relatively easy) would kill the ghosts guardian permanently.
-
* Loads TX-130 Saber-Tank lazer round* Don't know how many times since have to say this, but the ghost has a shield that is on par if not stronger than the Ward of Dawns shield. I don't know how people forget about the shield.
-
People don't forget about that shield. As far as I'm aware, you just made it up.
-
* Loads TX-130 Saber-Tank lazer round* No, the shield is obviously there.
-
You looked at the ghost and assumed it had a shield. Saying it looks like it doesn't really hold up.
-
Well if the fight is taking place in the Halo Universe, where there is no Darkness, wouldn't that mean that there would be no Light either?
-
* Loads TX-130 Saber-Tank lazer round* Well yes. But saying that would mean that the fight would never take place as Guardians would of never been created or exist without light. So for this fight to take place it would need to be in the Destiny universe.
-
So for this fight to take place it would need to be in the Destiny universe.
Which means the Darkness is present and therefore can be manipulated. I'm trying my best to not go with the nuclear option and throw the Flood/Precursors at the Destiny universe.
-
* Loads TX-130 Saber-Tank lazer round* So we are using enemy's now, will the enemy's be allies with our hero's to defeat the other universe? If so, then the Destiny universe can win this no sweat.
-
Edited by GiantDad: 2/19/2016 11:47:37 PMThe Darkness is not a faction. It's a generic term for anything that isn't the protagonist faction of Destiny. Bungie's writers sure are creative nowadays.
-
* Loads TX-130 Saber-Tank lazer round* No, the darkness is an entity actually. Same as how the light is an entity as well. The darkness does not have a physical form but it infuses other races with its power, thus making them part of the darkness.
-
They can be knocked out or have to ghosts destroyed.
-
* Loads TX-130 Saber-Tank lazer round* A guardian can be knocked out, yes ;but not killed unless thier ghost is destroyed and the only way for that to happen is for it to be consumed by darkness. You can say that the ghost can be destroyed by a Spartan, well that is impossible. The ghosts shield is on par if not better than the strength of the Ward of Dawn. Yes it can be destroyed, but by the time the Spartan is able to destroy the ghost, the Guardian would have already been revived. Guardians without the darkness as thier enemy, are immortal from the power of the light

The awoken killed ghosts with a air strike.
-
* Loads TX-130 Saber-Tank lazer round* And where did you get this info from?
-
A quote that I will have to find.
-
Spartans can work alone you know
-
I can agree with that.
-
-
Why not?
