Higher grimoire generally means more playtime, which leads to more practice/experience. In pve it can be a good example to use for someone you've just met trough the forums to know that they have had experience playing this game. In pvp it means much less. But for a raid, if I see a high grimoire score my immediate thought is "they've done this before"
