I've been looking into getting myself a gaming laptop but I don't know how well this one will be able to run certain games. What do you guys/girls think?

You'll get about 1080p/30 at ultra on most games. The problem with laptops is that the price to performance ratio is terrible. For less than what you'll spend on that you can absolutely crush the performance with a desktop. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/RnZjf7 To put that into perspective, this build will easily yield 1080p/60 at ultra, and even 1440p/60 at a mix of ultra and high. I even included a Mouse, Keyboard, Monitor, and OS. If you wanted to save even more you could just connect it to a tv for the time being. If you have a spare mouse and keyboard laying around those will work just fine as well. And if you already have a laptop or desktop sitting around you don't need to buy a key for the OS, you can just transfer the key from that over.
