For anyone who never played during The House of Wolves era, rerolling allowed you to get new, random perks on crucible, strike playlist, or faction gear.
I personally liked being able to make my version of my perfect gun, and I found it to be a fantastic balancing force in the crucible and made for some awesome times.
The House of Wolves era is my favorite period of pvp to date.
So, who would support bringing it back, who doesn't care, and who hated rerolling.
P.S. Anyone else still broke as all get out from burning all of my hoarded weapon parts and motes on rerolls?

Bungie, this is for you, directly. If you seriously care about balance, then this is seriously the only way to achieve it long-term. With rerolling, you can do whatever you want to the machanics and the community will adapt to it and find it's own equilibrium. Add guns. Add gun classes. Remove perks. Add perks. Change weapon mechanics. It doesn't matter. The community will balance itself through rerolling. Seriously, if you want to be genuinely balanced again, reinstitute the reforge feature.
Edit: The arguments that you all are making that rerolling leads to OP guns is silly. Someone used the tripod prox-det as an example, even. That roll still exists. All of those rolls still exist. All that has changed is that the lucky or the no-life have them, and the general populous is in the lurch. Bringing back reforge would open up an even playing field, not introduce new OP-ness. Seriously, how are you all not getting this? The OP stuff is out there already, and you've all seen it, and some of you have them. Is it so bad to let Bob down the road, who works full time and plays to unwind in the evenings, have some fun on an even playing field with the guns that have been wiping his butt on the dance floor simply because he cannot devote the time to grind for them?
Lol, nearly 70% are cool with the idea. The community has spoken.
The very first time I saw the title of this thread I thought it said "Bring back RickRolling"
-
I say bring it back in IB at least
-
Balancing Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaa HOLY -blam!-ING SHIT AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
-
Common now, Hell no To the no no noooo Hell to the no Hell no to the no no no
-
After reading this I went and rerolled a couple of Queens Wrath weapons in my vault and got better sights on the scout and the pulse with general rolls I liked. I was happy, neither weapon is suddenly a OHK laser. Aye, bring it back.

To make it a bit balanced let's do a couple of things to make sure we do not get gambling addicts like before. Limit reforging to Iron Banner and Gunsmith. While including vendor rolls to reset Bi-weekly (every 2 weeks) Requirements: Iron Banner 1. Must have weapon you wish to Reforge 2. You will buy a Reforge permit from lord saladin which you will need to take to banshee to allow reforging on iron banner weapons. 3. Weapon must be in inventory (unequipped) and space in weapons slot. 4. Once reforging has begun on weapon you will lose your weapon and gain a blueprint with the new rolls you can either keep or request for a new blueprint (new roll). 5. When you got the blueprint you want for your gun it will go back to that weapons inventory slot. You will need to give it to lord saladin so he may confirm the order. 6. You will then have to wait for him to return next iron banner with your newly rolled weapon. Gunsmith 1. You may choose to reforge an existing gunsmith weapon (a)or you can choose to reforge a upcoming package(b). (If you choose to reforge the package you will only be able to hold that one package). 2a. Gunsmith weapon must be unequipped and in the inventory slot to be eligible for reforge. 2b. When choosing new packages player will be asked if they wish to reforge package. If yes all other packages will be locked from pickup and you will recieve the package as a Special Order. Packages can not be picked up until you choose to reforge one or deny all reforging. 3a. Once reforging has begun on weapon you will lose your weapon and gain a blueprint with the new rolls you can either keep or request for a new blueprint (new roll) 3b. Once you reforge the special order package. It will show you the roll it will come with on delivery. You can either choose to reforge or keep the special order. 4. Once you have desired roll give the blueprint/special order to Banshee and in one week you will have your new ordered weapon. Materials needed For each reforge you will need the following 1000 Glimmer 15 Weapon Parts 1 Mote of Light 3 Legendary Marks This is required for both Iron Banner and Gunsmith weapons. Lemme know what you think about the system and if some things could be changed. Just had a bit to think about what can be a possible solution to (Everyone using the same gun issue)

I think re rolling is needed again. The change in weapons balancing has forced a whole new grind to obtain weapons with different perks to offset or mitigate the "nerfs". Without re roll, the weapon you loved (spare change for example) now needs to have a damage perk to boost its lethality and compete again.
-
1 reroll a week
-
I hated re rolling so much. You want everyone with a surplus Shortgaze hidden hand 1000 yard stare? Or a shot package max range party crashed +1 again? Oh please no.
-
You don't want every one running shortgaze/hidden hand 1k stares do you? Or those g&h rockets with tripod right?
-
Yeah. It'll help even out the playing field. Right now, we have some lucky people getting god rolls on the same weapon that people are getting bad rolls on.
-
374 rolls later I finally got a Fulcrum with Luck in the chamber and final round. The gun was so beast in pvp. The only way to get a baby hawkmoon on the xb1 before ttk
-
So then you can get killed by the same guns WITH ALL OF THE SAME PERKS... No
-
Bring Back for iron banner weapons and into iron banner armour as well give iron banner armour value again like it did in y1
-
Edited by Nintentard: 2/17/2016 12:49:32 AMRerolling made me so happy, bungie was actually listening and it felt good to get the roll I wanted. But then, everything changed when year 2 attacked.
-
Make it so only lord Saladin does it and you have to be rank 4 from that iron banner, but can do it for any gun
-
I vote to reinstate rerolling BUT FOR ARMOUR
-
No. I loved it in HoW, but it killed the joy and excitement from weapon drops. Basically, everyone and there mother would spend a bazillion motes to get that sweet roll. Not OP at all, just boring. It basically removed any and all drive to push for new gear.
-
Remember HoW when every shotgun had shot package and range finder?
-
For all instances no but for imago loop I would like it back! Can't get one imago with a good roll
-
Wow, rerolling every sniper to have Hidden Hand and Shortgaze. Shotguns-rangefinder, luck in the chamber and rifles barrel. You say balance but everyone will be after the same gun and same perks. You're obviously an idiot. You liked HOW pvp because of how broken it was. Everyone with hand cannons and shotguns.
-
Absolutely not. Would make this horrible meta even worse. Remember when everyone had unflinching and hidden hand on her benevolence. Horrible.
-
I don't think rerolling is a bad. It might help against last word, etc. besides that, I believe it could bring more players back.
-
-
Everyone would use the same rolls. "Oh look here at a sniper with full aim assist I'm so good at this game!" Just. NO.

Edited by Radiant 01: 2/16/2016 8:51:42 PMI agree with this because then everyone has an equal opportunity to spend resources to get the gun perks they want to fit their play style. My perfect roll may be different than yours. Even if it isn't at least we have equal opportunity to get the gun the way we want it. I shouldn't be at a disadvantage just because rng gave someone a better shot gun or a better scout or pulse or machine gun etc.
