Ice Breaker exploit in Trials is for SCRUBS.
DON'T FRONT, NO ONE WAS USING IT IN TRIALS A WEEK AGO NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN IT'S A VIABLE OPTION? NO, IT'S BECAUSE THEY TOOK YOUR PRECIOUS SPECIAL AMMO.
If you're doing this you're pathetic.
It happened in my first game of Trials this weekend. All 3 had Icebreakers then switched to their 1000 yards later. The game's been changed for a reason, play it the way it's meant to be played now.
Go ahead and disagree. I won't care. You ladyboys always gotta find an exploit to get cheap kills instead of playing the game right. If you NEED sniper ammo that bad to get a kill then there's more wrong with you than just being a coward in a fake fight.

I totally agree that it's a sheisty strat. However, going against team after team this weekend using it, I have no problem dropping to their level so I'm not playing at a disadvantage next weekend.

Icebreaker doesn't make bad players good. Chances are if they beat you with icebreaker they can wait for ammo and beat you with a 1kys. It's cheap but no need to get salty over it. Haven't lost a game to icebreakers yet. Rush in and make them waste the first one or two bullets and then waste them

I agree. It's definitely an issue. I rarely check the gear of who I'm going against in trials and get reminded to do so when I get sniped in the first few seconds, but like most things Destiny, we just have to adapt until or if they fix that issue

1 ReplyPlayed through the bounties on two characters and saw one ice breaker. Granted, we sucked out loud, so maybe didn't end up paired with too many elite guys, but still... Not defending it, it's a move reserved for little B's with tiny D's, but just saying I've not seen it over several hours in any amount of frequency

If you need to rely on special you're a scrub. I don't need special, it's just nice to have. So I agree with you. But, I will pull out Ice Breaker to exploit it if asswipes are doing it too. (And yes, I have 5000 or so shotgun kills and around 2500 sniper kills, not the point)

4 RepliesSad part is this is what bungie will do: Change the perk of ice breaker to not carry over ammo to the other secondary weapon for all pvp AND pve. Further nerfing pve content inappropriately.

You're crying about something that doesnt change a single thing. Players will either wait for special ammo or actually rush with icebreaker because theyll get special next round. And if you are getting killed by ice breaker, it wont res snipe.. and you shouldnt be in a lane at the start of a round.

2 RepliesIt goes with the weapon meta, bungie has done a terrible job balancing guns, personally those that use last word and mida with a sniper exclusively are just as bad in my mind. They keep making well forcing us to use certain load outs and the community uses it then people that are meh at the game get super butt hurt that they die to the same guns over and over, who -blam!-ing cares, if everyone uses the same guns the matches will actually come down to who's smarter and better rather then who has the better guns. Just do what they do til the meta changes. A little example is the ill will my Titan is holding, thing is a -blam!-ing wreaking ball and in doubles I've gotten countless messages from people calling me a fag for using it, I laugh cause I'm using something original but you see my point

Personally, i dont snipe because im bad at it. Im glad they took the special ammo away and i try and bag as many crates as i can to stop the opposition getting it. However... Not so long ago I was reading posts about people who already had been flawless and didnt need to anymore, or had already picked up all the loot from IB and/or SRL and were going to continue doing these events just to stop other people, like me, from getting to the top tier of pvp. To me, this is the cause of things like this. People will look for exploits, my son made good use of this one to help us complete the bounties last weekend. For me, this exploit comes way behind lag and peoples attitudes when it comes to crucible problems in general...

Players didnt use icebreaker because they had special ammo when they started the match but things havw changed so players started to adept to the new change. Also using icebreaker will lower their light level giving the opposite team an adventage
