The one later in 2016 won't be free, the spring update will be free however.
Where are all the children that kept crying "no dlc in year 2"? Lol
And for gods sake stop hoping they will bring the old raids forward, that is just clueless and dumb

Why do you think making old raids a higher level is so out of the question? They did it with the strikes. It's seems as though enough people want it that it will help keep things playable as you'll have different things to chose from instead of 1 endgame raid.

Different things to choose from like the stuff you already did. Idk about you, but after my job buys me a new laptop, I don't want to be rewarded the old laptop a few months later and them call it new

It would be more like getting an old laptop with a new processor and graphics card installed. It's also probably the quickest and cheapest way to give more PVE content while they work on something actually new for the late 2016 update.

the only thing that would be kept the same would be the outlay and maybe the mechanics? they would have to redo all wepaons (esp elemental primaries) damage scales, and all that. basically the same amount of work

Outlay and mechanics are two pretty huge things they wouldn't have to work on. How hard would it be to remove the elemental burn from primaries? As far as the damage scales the formula and coding is already there for the exotics. It certainly wouldn't be the same amount of work as a new raid from scratch.

Well no, I'm not saying make a 41 vog and crota and call it a day. But if they add a new raid, and some other new PVE and pvp content as well as higher level old raids, I think it would be decent enough to break up the monotony. If they released just that I wouldn't be happy at all.
