Hello and welcome Guardians this is your friendly neighborhood AnonPig and I'm here just to highlight the most predictable paths for the story in this roadmap, and also i'd like to share with you what i would love to see come spring time.
first off let's look at EXACTLY what they said.
Prior to the holiday break we mentioned a second, larger update slated for Spring. That content release will feature a significant Light increase, a bunch of new gear to earn and equip, and new challenges for PvE players seeking some more fun experiences and replayability.
Beyond that, the team is focused on delivering a large expansion later this year, and a full Destiny sequel in 2017.
so the keyword to me in that first paragraph is replayability. I think the easiest (and this is the smaller expansion so dont expect TOOOO TOO much) thing they can do is a revamp of raids, with the new Light Level coming in too there might even be a revamp of PoE, simply PoE or even something similar to PoE would result in massive upset, but (new) PoE (revamps) VoG CE and KF upgrades??? now that's a massive bump for replayability. This will also come with new gear to earn and equip as well as new challenges. This leads me to believe the rest of the exotics, possibly revamped tower vendors, and very likely new story.
now... as for that story. i know everyone is sick of it... but this is where i hope it goes...
Oryx hurtles down in the vacuum of space towards Saturn
Eris- My Queen... You were right. The Guardian was key. For the first time, the whispers are silent. I've accepted my fate... I will not fail
Mara Sov- Good. Because this is only the beginning.
Oryx's body bursts open and out flies a beast, uncoiling it's long body, with folded jaws and curled wings, and flies off past Saturn
after this scene the story given will hint at the Vex stirring again, this time on Mercury, and we are sent there to find out more.
This will be a bit of a prologue to the big expansion that will come out later this year, which given the old road map and the subtle build up per the lore, will be focused on the Vex.
Yes i know i know, "but the Cabal! They have no more leadership in our system! they sent a distress call!" yes, but that's just happened. Vex have been building up since Vanilla for this. and we've served our purpose in the Paradox mission saving their ass. they're going to be ready to fight now.
of course this means the BIG Destiny 2 second game not expansion greatness in all it's glory! will focus on the Cabal coming back to finish us off from whatever the Vex couldn't do. Perhaps they even found some secrets from the vacuum of power we left in the Dreadnaught by not taking Oryx's place?
That's all for now Guardians. I can't get tooo much into this haha.

Edited by Evilless001: 2/11/2016 11:24:12 PMHonestly sounds about right, none of the raids in my opinion feel as if they're complete, they always leave you wondering, especially with all that damn vague grimoire, don't get me wrong I enjoy a good mystery, but you answer questions before you create new ones lol they're taking the "Lost" route at this point.
