Edit: I made a normal poll to see opinion of community. Totally forgot about how many 12 year old salty turds exist here. Without reading anything, they are telling me go to year 1 and other crap.
I am year 1. I have 2300+ hours in game. Have 7000 kills with thorn in year 1.
All of you turds who are telling me how it was op, this poll is not saying what was op year 1 or year 2.
Compare thorn in year 2 with other exotic weapons like red death, suros, boolean gemini.
Why I think thorn is op.
3 shot body shot with fastest fire rate hand cannon. Which usually is 4-5
Tracks enemy.
Stop recovery for 7 effing seconds
All of you who are telling me you can counter it, for sure you can counter it. Problem is, most probably it will still kill you if other person is even half decent.
Please post your honest opinion. Now by honest I mean honest.
If you use it and like it, it's good but that won't change the fact that it's not op.
Thanks
Happy hunting guardians

I dont even use it but people really need to understand the difference between over powered and over used. Thorn isnt that bad honestly and would even argue TLW is more of a problem than it (and TLW isnt even that OP) You're just seeing it used to death because this game houses the largest amount of sheep Ive ever seen
-
I don't think it's op. However, in an elimination game if the wielder is killed the effect should come off. Or the round should be ended immediately. It's crap when you kill everyone, then during the countdown you die and the round ties.
-
Been seeing thorn everywhere. It's not OP. My doctrine annihilates them, my Mida out ranges them. If you get shot with thorn before you saw the person..do not challenge..run, reevaluate, challenge after recovery. Same thing with 90% of other guns out there. If they hit you first, they have a huge advantage and will kill y more times than not.

Thorn is love
-
Thorns is not OP. It used to be a two shot headshot and then walk. I'm having to land at least three or more shots to kill someone.
-
*before 2.0* "OMG PLZ NERF THORN 2 SHOT HEADSHOT" *after 2.0* "OMG PLZ NERF THORN 3 SHOT BODY SHOT" *after next update* "OMG PLZ NERF THORN 15 SHOT HEADSHOT OP" You guys only want a nerf because it's the thorn and you're still butt hurt about year one
-
Every gun is op in the right hands
-
The last word has a much faster fire rate with it's exotic perk...
-
You obviously wanted a penis poll
i see through your lies
-
Would you people rather have it go back to 2 shot?
-
The nerf train will never stop huh. Thorn like most HC are good at their range. Thorn users against scout or pulse at higher ranges will lose. I went into crucible with the NL Shadow scout yesterday and came out positive. This idea that you HAVE to use certain weapons is bullshit. On a side note, every time I see a nerf post I get get this image of a little boy running to his mom for help... strange huh
-
Personally don't use it, think I've 2 lifetime kills with it. Didn't take to it the way the majority have/had. But, don't mind others using it. Whatever. I do think "wtf, Thorn?", but then get on with it.
-
Are we still talking about this? Really? Yea I got my thorn in year 1, used it only to feel the full glory before it got needed. This being said, thorn is so -blam!-ing easy to counter, I was beating it consistently when I was doing it's bounty with a one/one synthete as my primary.
-
Why should any gun kill in PVP. Bungie please nerf every gun.
-
Just give me my fucking Red Death back and you can run at me with a Thorn anytime.
#nomorenerfs #buffsFTW
I can't believe people still complain about tgis...

Penis
-
Thorn is a great exotic but not OP. It was overpowered back in the days where you could get two-tapped across the map.
-
It's nothing like it was year 1. Now it just seems like an annoyance but since it's year 1 weapon only it has limited use.
-
I don't really care because I don't get killed with it much (if at all). 90% of my deaths are from tlw, 1000ys or mida. Not that I think they're op, that's just what's popular.
-
Edited by Ball4Eva54: 2/12/2016 3:50:12 PMTakes 3 shots no matter where your shots land. Last word if you can land headshots from the hip can 2-shot and Hawkmoon if you get two headshots with luck in the chamber can be 2-shot. Thorn is balanced and feels like an exotic. Stop complaining and play the game.

#destiny failed to make a penis poll.
-
3 body shots to kill with long range removes the need for a lot of thumb skill. I'm surprised this gun is a preferred sweaty gun. Shouldn't there be some code that prevents skill-less weapons from a match that's intended to determine who has the most skill? Or does being a sweaty really just mean you'll do whatever it takes to win? I do not want to be a sweaty if that's the case.
-
Not bragging at all but seriously have not had one problem against a thorn since year one. The whole time I've played doubles since Tuesday I've maybe died to a thorn twice.
-
No. It's nearly shit compared to what it used to be. Prior to the nerf it was a 2 shot sniper rifle with a high rate of fire, low recoil, decent mag size, and pretty decent reload speed that after you landed your shots you could simply skip away from your enemy while he helplessly burns to death. . You could out-snipe snipers with it.
-
I don't get why you have to make such a post. Simple just compare it with it's pre nerf version and your answer is right there.
