To be fair, only bad guys use Thorn.
Are you a bad guy, OP?

I don't use thorn because I think it's a horrible gun. However, thorn is a deadly weapon in the hand of person who knows how to use it. Isn't this the point of PvP. Use the best weapon that give you the highest chance of success? "I'm going into a competitive PvP match and I'm going to use the worst gun possible" say no one ever! With that said, different guns used by different players can have positive or negative results. Some player can be really awesome with one of the worst gun.

The Mark of the Devourerer perk never should've been included for PvP. I don't care how Thorn has changed, if the DoT has been reduced, rate of fire slowed...it's still a terrible weapon for terrible people. Ah, who cares...everybody's got one anyway. I don't even play Crucible anymore.

I do that now. I don't like following the meta. Whatsoever.

bad as in clint eastwood bad ;)

Shame on you. Clint would've been rocking Hawkmoon, First Curse, or especially Last Word. I say again, only bad guys use Thorn.

lmao haha, nah doesn't matter what exotic gun u use, u will always have somebody crying, screaming, begging for a nerf or call u a scrub etc.

Hawkmoon used to 1-shot. Got nerfed to only 2-shot at best. Never seen in Crucible again. The Last Word was glitched, and players would exploit it to get 2-shot kills at crazy ranges. Got fixed to no longer get glitch damage bonus and have less range. Still heavily used in Crucible (overused?). Thorn was underwhelming at first, then Bungie improved it. 2-shots and the user ran away, leaving victims to burn out. Overused to the point of becoming the most hated year 1 weapon. Nerfed to 3-shot status. Making a resurgence in Crucible. Still a hated gun (for obvious reasons).
