Alright, so there are three classes: TITAN, HUNTER, and WARLOCK. Each class has a Solar, Arc, and Void subclass. If Destiny could expand on that, which direction would you want the game to go?
____________________________________________
Light Subclass (61/1392 votes placing it at #5)
After mastering your Solar, Arc, and Void subclasses, your guardian would travel with your class's Vanguard Mentor. While delving into their backstories, you begin to uncover the Light Subclass, only wieldable by those who have mastered the light.
Dark Subclass (212/1392 votes placing it at #2)
Being corrupted from the Hive's ascendant realm, your light begins to fade. Seeking guidance from Eris Morn You begin to follow in the footsteps of the corrupted Guardians before you. As your light meets a challenging force, you begin to embrace the darkness around you and use it against your enemies, uncovering your Dark Subclass within you.
Frost Subclass (115/1392 votes placing it at #3)
With Oryx and his Taken army defeated, the Vanguard send you to Europa, Jupiter's icy moon, to set up patrol beacons while investigating Ice Reaper Cabal activity. Legends tell of a Leviathan of great intelligence within its surface, and rumors about the Deep Stone Crypt begin to spread. Within the icy planet, you begin to discover a new type of light within you, Frost Light. Become the first of a new era of Guardians and master the ways of the Frost.
Expanded Subclasses (92/1392 votes placing it at #4)
Now you have completed your Subclass training, meet with your Vanguard mentor to further expand your Light. New abilities can be learned and old abilities can be improved. However, you may only improve one subclass per character.
Fourth Guardian Class (912/1392 votes placing it at #1)
To unlock the Fourth Guardian Class, you must complete the TITAN, HUNTER, and WARLOCK story lines. You will find out more about this Class and you will discover a new Race while on these quest lines. After completing each one, you may create a [Vote for Class Name here] and choose from the existing races or an entirely new race.
(In a separate poll of 3,615 total votes, 1626 voted for the name PRIEST, 513 voted for the name SLAYER, and 480 voted for the name ROGUE)

So the reason for this poll is so I can find out which idea to create a thread and concept art about. I've made many idea threads which have received attention back in the day, but I'm looking to make a thread to top them all.
Here is a list of some previous concept threads I made before ever knowing about the TTK:
Faction Subclass Specializations
Dark Subclasses before TTK
Third Subclasses before TTK
What New Subclasses or a Fourth Class could look like:
Fist of Havoc Instant Cast, Direct
Ward of Dawn Instant Cast, Indirect
Hammer of Sol Drain Cast, Third Person
Golden Gun Drain Cast, First Person
Arc Blade Drain Cast, Third Person
Shadow Shot Instant Cast, Indirect
Nova Bomb Instant Cast, Direct
Radiance Drain Cast, First Person
Stormcaller Drain Cast, Third Person
__________________________________________
By looking at this we can see Titans are missing a first person draining super like Golden Gun and Radiance. Hunters are missing a Direct Instant Cast Super closer to Fist of Havoc and Novabomb (Shadow Shot effects targets indirectly much like Ward of Dawn although it can be used and identified as a Direct Super.) Finally, Warlocks are missing an Instant Cast Indirect super like Ward of Dawn and Shadow Shot.
__________________________________________
Another way to look at it is by grouping them by elemental type.
A R C
Fist of Havoc Instant Cast, Direct
Arc Blade Drain Cast, Third Person
Stormcaller Drain Cast, Third Person
S O L A R
Hammer of Sol Drain Cast, Third Person
Golden Gun Drain Cast, First Person
Radiance Drain Cast, First Person
V O I D
Ward of Dawn Instant Cast, Indirect
Shadow Shot Instant Cast, Indirect
Nova Bomb Instant Cast, Direct
See a pattern?

We need a healer class... Or something that's fully about support roles.
-
Nah, I'm good expanding my Bladedancer abilities..
-
-
They can't balance 3 subclasses, what makes you think they can balance 4?
-
Edited by docalvaran: 2/16/2016 5:37:12 AMHybrid guardian. Here are the perks Jump - blink Grenade - firebolt Super - blade dance Melee - flameshield Third to the last row perks - burn refreshes and spread to enemies near the person killed by burn from firebolt. Last row perks - shoulder charge + juggernaut. One Class to rule them all. Or A Class that is immune to nurfs.
-
Maybe Water type, Grass type, Rock type and Ice type might suffice. Oh sorry wrong game
-
I would actually like dark guardians, not just a subclass. I think it would be a fun concept.
-
They should add both the light and Dark Then make it a perma choice seeing as its a big commitment
-
ÅLL ØF THÉM
I don't think we need a 4th class yet. Maybe in later sequels to Destiny. The Knight, the Magician, and the Rogue fits perfectly fine for the games needs. I do support bough the introduction of a 4th damage type and that being Ice I.e. Cyro. The Hunter could focus on altering the battlefield by creating mists to reduce visibility. Warlock can summon insta-frost that freezes most anything. And Titans freeze opponents only to shatter them later. In addition, the 4th damage type would also introduce new weapons that utilize it.
-
Light and Dark subclass would be tight
-
I think 3 new subclasses would be cool, warlock could summon an avatar of some sort would fight beside you, hunter master of mis direction creates a bunch of clones that do no damage but you don't know which one is the real one, could short out radar as well, Titan localised earth quake, turns into golem
-
The fourth class would be similar to eris and toland. Eris is a hunter capable of performing high level magic and toland is a warlock known for using hive arcana. We'll learn an ability of the darkness and manipulate it to our will. Or simply learn forbidden magics and hive arcana like toland, eris, and ikora did. Or we could be cliché and have an ahamkara tamer.

Engineer is the way to go 100% I can see it. It's the only one that makes sense more than others. Who's an engineer? Amanda Holliday. Bitch can make arc turrets like taken acolytes. Can make duplicates of herself like psions with void technology or something. Flamethrower super or something like that. Idk
-
Only problem with another class, is I'd have another class I'd have to level up. Maintaining 3 takes enough time as it is. Though from the start, I wanted a healing class that healed or provided status buffs by dealing damage. The higher your dps, the greater the buff to your fireteam.
-
Just think if we had a character that's super could summon an ally of some sort, like the mechromancer from Borderlands.
-
4th Guardian Class: Corrupted A guardian who has abilities of enemies.
-
Could yall imagine a healer class? Think of the game changing possibilities
-
Calling it now, destiny 2 will have a total of 5 subclasses, but you will only be able to have 3 character slots and any additional ones will cost silver
-
Warlock Hunter Titan Paladin Paladin feels like the right addition.
-
Void is kinda dark and the others are light. It'd get weird. A new character would be cool
-
I think a shaman or something would be cooler. I don't have any ideas for grenades or stuff but the different element supers would have you transform into different animals/creatures. Stuff like dragons or tigers would be awesome
-
Where is the Chuck Norris subclass?
-
Well given my name, you can probably tell that I'd love a frost based subclass
-
Why? So people can nerf and complain about that too? 😂

Edited by ATinyPsyduck: 2/14/2016 5:44:46 PMI REALLY enjoyed the "Frost" idea. And it actually seems plausible. Great idea. :)
