I'm so tired of the crying over Micro transactions. It's not a new concept in games that have come out in the last several years. The PC crowd has had them for years and everyone accepts that you can pay to level up. You still need to aquire gear and spend countless hours getting anywhere near to end game, so who really cares. Next calling these events Micro transaction events is not true. They purposely drop high level items to encourage play. Many of which people desperately need because of the wonderful RNG system in raids etc. You don't need to buy shit.
The only flaw I see to any of it is that there is no way to aquire certain items without paying for them such as emotes. Festival of the Lost got it right with the masks IMO because you could either spend money trying to get a mask you wanted or grind for candy. Yes Bungie was called on paying for items that increase drops and they have been true to not implementing that. But other than that they affect no one. Why people are angry about a business putting out a plan to make money boggles me (unless it's Apple, for some reason they are gods but no different than anyone else SMH). You can not like it and not buy them, it's that simple! Yet if you enjoy the game you can still have a great time. And I've said it a thousand times...the only way they'll go away is if people don't give in to them and ignore them. But they won't because many of us adults don't give AF if we spend 5-10 dollars on dance moves that make little kids and grown ups alike salty and some of them are just fun. Then we have many kids who for some reason have free reign on buying shit on x-box or parents cave. Last most gamers are completionists to a degree and "must have all the things." Afraid it's a losing ordeal. So deal with it, they're here to stay in just about any game you care about now days. Just be a big boy, or girl, make your own decisions and carry on smartly :)
