I'm so tired of the crying over Micro transactions. It's not a new concept in games that have come out in the last several years. The PC crowd has had them for years and everyone accepts that you can pay to level up. You still need to aquire gear and spend countless hours getting anywhere near to end game, so who really cares. Next calling these events Micro transaction events is not true. They purposely drop high level items to encourage play. Many of which people desperately need because of the wonderful RNG system in raids etc. You don't need to buy shit. The only flaw I see to any of it is that there is no way to aquire certain items without paying for them such as emotes. Festival of the Lost got it right with the masks IMO because you could either spend money trying to get a mask you wanted or grind for candy. Yes Bungie was called on paying for items that increase drops and they have been true to not implementing that. But other than that they affect no one. Why people are angry about a business putting out a plan to make money boggles me (unless it's Apple, for some reason they are gods but no different than anyone else SMH). You can not like it and not buy them, it's that simple! Yet if you enjoy the game you can still have a great time. And I've said it a thousand times...the only way they'll go away is if people don't give in to them and ignore them. But they won't because many of us adults don't give AF if we spend 5-10 dollars on dance moves that make little kids and grown ups alike salty and some of them are just fun. Then we have many kids who for some reason have free reign on buying shit on x-box or parents cave. Last most gamers are completionists to a degree and "must have all the things." Afraid it's a losing ordeal. So deal with it, they're here to stay in just about any game you care about now days. Just be a big boy, or girl, make your own decisions and carry on smartly :)

  • microstransactios is why so many games has fallen, companies get greedy, this was supposed to be cosmetic items only, yet for SRL you needed the $10 book to get 320 items, so the whole cosmetic side go out the window and a 320 item eliminates the need to grind anything. What boogles me is how people are just so willing to let a company charge you for the game, for the expansions and now the gear, and some just say "hey just let it be", no, you want to take it, fine take it, enjoy it when it finally dies out like every other game. "OH BUT OTHER GAMES ARE STILL WORKING WITH MICROTRANSACTIONS", yeah before you even say that tell me why aren't you playing those games then?, oh BECAUASE THE MICROTRANSACTIOS ARE TOO MUCH, this game wasn't supposed to have them, and now that it does they are working the whole game around them, and it's what's killing them, tell me is it okay that I kill someone as long as I don't kill you?, and yeah it relates because you saay it does nothing to me if you use the MT, but it does because they will keep adding more and more to them, eventually the whole game will be nothing but that, if that's the kind of game you want then go for it, I'll keep playing games from better and more honest developers, and users that aren't just willing to lay down and let developers walk all over them.

  • You didn't need the book to get 320 items. Just rank 3, so that's wrong and spreading mid-information. Next if you stop playing a game because if micro's guess you didn't like it that much. Also all the other games I play have micro's. It is what it is now days man. You guys are crying over spilled milk.

  • Microtransactions in a game that already cost players $120 is highway robbery. This game has made more money than any other game in history and has one of the smaller development teams compared to the user base in the industry. There is literally no reason for microtransactions to be in this game other than greed. They don't add anything to it other than to make it worse, distract from the core purpose of the game and now Year 2 has turned to sh** because of them. Why create any meaningful content when you can make just as much money putting out emotes? They're here to stay because of people like you who are ruining the gaming industry. Bungie gave no indication they were going to have microtransactions in this game even up to TTK's release, which means that they got players to sink thousands and thousands of hours into this game and hooked into a game they wanted to put the next 10 years of their life into. To do the old switcharoo and drop them on their customer base midway is f***ed. Now if they had been honest and said at the very beginning that eventually they would have microtransactions then yeah by all means but people were not allowed to make an informed buying decision on this. NO EXCUSE FOR MICROTRANSACTIONS IN A $60 RETAIL GAME. Don't tell me it's because they have to maintain servers because From Software is still maintaining it's servers on Demon's Souls and they aren't charging for that.

  • Oh you won't hear the argument of it's for servers or dlc and the like from me. It's just to make money, it's what business's do. Apparently that's evil these days. You're just mad because you don't like it. You think that there should be more focus on another area, got it. But it's just whiney to complain about it. They literally do nothing to you. It has also become a staple of gaming even before next gen came out. Just like season passes and dlc. I will agree that Bungie is not as open as they should be. But it's all stategy and marketing etc., and a shitty one IMO. Point stands that it's here to stay and is not new. You don't have to like it, just understand that. It's what gaming is now. Release-->DLC/season pass-->maybe more content, micro's for sprinkling on top. You either enjoy it, buy it if you want, or ignore it and play your game. Be mad all you want, just understand that. Also props for bringing up Demon Souls! I think it's a vastly different game than mmo or shared world shooter or what ever you want to call this. To be honest with you when Dark Souls 3 comes out I'll be all in on that game like I have the past ones, which had dcl btw. Hope you're not mad I ordered the collectors addition :)
