Some good stuff in here but, they're focusing on pvp because that's where there player base is at. They can't possibly hope to keep pve only players entertained all the way up to another game/dlc. Although the events are just milking money, it doesn't hurt me or you as long as real content is eventually released. This being the actual problem, the player base has shown to hate bungie secrecy and needs to know what the -blam!- is going on if they want a chance to keep/regain our interest. Plenty of much needed(imo) fixes to pve endgame our being ignored for some reason. At the end of the day tho its bungies problem not ours, they'll either make the game people want to play or they won't and the player base will move on.

  • The player base is PVP because every PVE player left, look at how barren the raids section is, or go the the LFG sites, of course your player base is PVP is theres no content for PVE, and really PVP players are happy with anything.

  • not arguing that, just pointing out that keeping the pve playerbase around without dropoff between expansions doesnt seem possible to me. i think there just tying to keep who they can here with a minimal effort and hope marketing can bring there pve players back when new content is ready. i do think they could make some of these minimal effort changes to pve and save some of their pve playerbase. better chances for max light weapons/armor in the raids. up the level of vog/crota, bring the armor forward and add new guns to acquire(they can use guns already in the game or just give engrams) and put all the stikes in one playlist(standard 36 list would work great and save their current lineup for heroic). coming up with a b.s. quest line once a month or so wouldnt be that hard either. recycle the maps, give the boss a name and drop an item. done. i also cant believe theres no in game lfg. I think moving forward all primaries should have a burn, way better solution than just removing it.
