I agree, although Destiny is pretty much Halo with magic which is why I bought it. Thing is though, Halo was good in both PVP and PVE. The campaigns were always fun with a fairly cohesive story, and the multiplayer was pretty well balanced with only a few issues. None of them were perfect and I don't expect a single game out there to be, but they were some damn good fun. :D
I think one of the biggest problems with Destiny, is that a lot of players enjoyed most of the PVE but there was so little of it. We want more. Wanting more can be a good sign, but the sign has to be seen and reacted to, not ignored or overlooked.
If Destiny's content was actually bad, I bet most of us would have just ignored it and moved on. But because a lot of it was fun we feel the want for more. Had it been released with what they marketed for concepts, I think the want for more would not have been nearly as large an issue if at all.
