Does anyone have any thoughts or reviews on Dragon's Breath? I'm hearing from my friends that it's terrible, but why are so many people using it?

DB has always been criticised basically for not being Gjallarhorn (while Truth was ignored for much the same reason). It's always been good though, if tricky to use and very situational - the old solar flares were great for AoD and it actually helped not to have tracking because you could put them where you wanted them. The new napalm payload is great for add suppression - and if you want tracking, just add Taikonaut (on titan at least). Like any gear in the game, ymmv.

Fun during solar burn or killing mobs of bad guys in the raid.
-
It's fun to use and unique but with only 1 round in a mag its bad for most encounters
-
Cus its a unique weapon, no other weapon in the game has a manual grenades and horseshoes perk like that
-
Mine is 320 and it is fun for mobs in Kings fall.

Useful as hell in solar burn modifier nightfall.
-
Good for control

I 320ed DB because I was bored.

Your friends don't know what they're doing with it. In PvE, that thing is crazy powerful. It'll clear out rooms like nothing else can and melt down slow moving bosses unbeliever fast. Like most exotics, it's not perfect in all situations, but what it does well it does really -blam!-ing well. A lot of people complain about the rounds bouncing, but you just need to aim them the right way. Always shoot at the ground under the enemy and you'll destroy -blam!-ing everything. Seriously, it's a high powered napalm explosion. How could that not be awesome?

Using that weapon in pvp is really funny, it's like they don't understand the fire can kill you! In pve is really useful against a lot of enemies.

Finally tried it out after sitting in the vault for a long time. Idk. Seems tough to gauge depth of field when using it. It was fun messing with it on patrol or firing one at a 60* angle and watching the bomb fall from way the hell up there. Aside from that i don't think it's very practical at all. In the right hands? maybe it's good. Not for me though

It's kinda like fist of havoc with aftermath Pretty amazing for control

Dragon's represent the world in 2 years...
you should know the world will burn
I personally love it. People still don't understand that fire HURTS YOU. They will dodge the rocket somehow and just stand in the fire
-
Its a fun patrol weapon.

It's fun to use, and does pretty good to stand-still opponent's (such as warpriest),wouldn't recommend using it for raids since people don't like other's using different loadouts outside the meta (in PvE that is).
