So I recently decided to put in bloodborne again and try to make some progress on the game, (I stopped playing around the wilderness area, to play other games.)
I had the materials to do a chalice dungeon, and I never knew what those consisted of or what they did. But I went anyway and had a great time! Killed all three bosses/traversed all three layers without dying. Felt good.
The final boss was a "watchdog of the old lords?" Something like that.

Chalice Dungeons get way tougher as you progress. For example, Ailing Loran was pretty hard on some of my characters in NG (hadn't gone to NG+ because of DLC). It offered a pretty good challenge, I must say

There are 4 groups of chalices. Each one with slightly different aesthetics and ranging difficulty. Depth is what difficulty it is, depth 4-5 is around end game level. You will get the main chalices if you defeat side bosses in the main story. You get "sub" chalices for completing a certain chalice. Chalice dungeons also have random drops for gems and such

Lmao wait till u get the FRC dungeons with the good loot
-
Wait till you get to cursed ones. Beating those are the most satisfying thing you can do.
-
If you're not dedicated enough to finish that game then get rid of it. We don't need people like you in the souls community.
-
Chalice dungeons are the hardest thing about bloodborne, so damn satisfying when you beat them though.
-
Depth 1 dungeons are easy. Wait until you reach depth 5 with a cursed offering.
-
The first couple of chalice dungeons are easy mode, wait until level 5's and the cursed pthumeru lol.

I -blam!-in hated the watchdog of the old lords. Annoying little ass
