I made a video explaining my thought process on this subject. I'll go ahead now and explain it now for those Guardians that are at work.
In the last few days, the Destiny community found out about a questionnaire that was sent out by Bungie to the players that left the game. This questionnaire asked some general questions about why these players left the game.
Personally, I like that the dev's and Bungie in general are taking an interest in why people are leaving and what is the cause of our grievances. That's nice. Unfortunately, the people that they should be asking about their game are the people that are still hanging on. I understand that the dev's going into the forums is a full blown Cluster F***. It won't work.
Since the start of this game, the forums, (Both Bungie and Reddit), have become more and more toxic. What I'd love to see is a Voting system implemented. If we were able to vote on the updates then they'red be a LOT less issues about what guns were "OP" and what changes were and were not getting made. I think that it'd be a really interesting thing to hear back about.
ALSO!!!! Some of these facts were...exaggerated. This was my first voice recording in a LONG time and I forgot to make que cards ;-; So, some of these facts may be a bit off. Please remember that this is the internet and we understand when we're wrong. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Nerfs and/or upgrades to classes and weapons are vital to maintain some type of game balance in PvP. Although many classes appear to have parity in PvE mode, their "failures" become apparent in PvP. Just like in Year 1 when everyone had a Thorn or another ridiculously OP hand canon, we are starting to see a ridiculous number of Sunstrikers...Blade Dancers were and still are too OP with a "way-to-long" charge on their super...Where did all the Sunsingers go? NO ONE PLAYS THOSE LOSERS IN PvP ANYMORE! Now, normally I would leave it up to you folks at Bungie to tweak the game to keep it interesting and balanced, but if it takes you guys sooooo loooong to figure out the crazy loopholes that make the game uninteresting for veteran players - too frustrated due to a lack of any different player types in competitive game play, then you should absolutely have some sort of forum to let Bungie that the game is letting us down! To add, you should probably add some sort of matchmaking option in the nightfall strikes or raids. I'd like to play them more often, but its hard to accrue enough players/friends to log in that amount of consistent time needed. If I jump on a "random" team, it's like matchmaking anyway. Not all of us are 16 year old HS kids, 20-year old college gamers, or 30+year olds that live in Mom's basement who have no job an piles of freetime.
