Alex looked at the station, it's massive docks where opened and waiting for the shuttle she rode in and others to arrive
Recruits in the ship with her shifted cautiously, nervous about their upcoming training
A few moments went by, and eventually the ship docked, the doors opening up, and the squadron inside to be brought out and trained...

The training sergeant walked up the ramp. The light of the station silhouetted him. "Listen up, you have thirty seconds to get the hell off my shuttle. When you do, you will move with a sense of urgency, and stand at attention on the yellow dots!"
-
Kek, you just pared the same lines of test in chat
The squadron in the shuttle stands, and doing as told, moves off to the yellow dots
-
The sergeant picks out a few to chew out, moving too slow, not standing with feet at a fourth five degree angle, or simply looking funny. The night progresses and they are in processed, each branch being separated. More training sergeants arrive to break down those who are there.
-
Alex manages to avoid being picked at mostly, one of them making fun of her for even being there, but she managed to escape
-
Her branch, the one she had signed on for had quite a few recruits. She was placed in an all forty man formation and led to the barracks.
ill let you choose branch of service.
-
-blam!- like I know, lemme see
She heads to the barracks
-
The sergeants assigned to her formation went through training inductions. The first 18 hour day would soon begin. The two men were from different sectors of the fed. One was a Russian from the Volga sector, the other an African from one of the many African colonized planets. The Russian was senior but allowed the African to run the recruits through making their beds, night duties, and the plan for tomorrow.
-
Alex set up her small cot in a corner of the room, making sure she kept her stuff tied or locked up
-
Each recruit had a locker and a bed, all in rows and all numbered. People at certain number beds were selected for certain details like latrine cleaner, or floor sweeper. Everyone would pull their weight and the barracks would be spotless. At about one a.m. The sergeant told everyone to get some sleep.
-
She passed out soon after laying down
-
After what seemed like ten minutes the lights switched on and the sergeants reentered. The men scream and make sure everyone was up.
-
She jerks upright, Ina daze doing as told
-
The next few weeks are just the basics. Marching, drill, classes on being a soldier.
depending on her branch the next part changes.
-
-blam!- I got no clue
She passes them
-
Army it is then. Feel free to create people in her platoon for her to interact with.
The next bloc is all about soldiering, firearms practice, hand to hand, tactics, first aid, ect. These are more difficult and some people find themselves not cut out for service.
-
Nu, -blam!- the Army, their cannon fodder Marines
She walks around, looking at the usual item or two
-
In their few, but increasing, spare moments of free time her platoon spends it keeping their belongings in inspection order, folding clothes, clipping strings, rolling shirts. Some write letters home, others talk about various subjects like home, loved ones, sports, music, and entertainment. Her battle buddy, a woman named Nicole, sits next to her rolling T-shirts. "Three more weeks, just need to pass the trials and then it's off to advanced training. What did you say you signed up to do?"
-
"Marines, scout sniper Not on the front lines, but watching over he jr heads to make sure they don't die"
-
"Ah, I'm engineering. Yours will take A bit from what I've heard, but that's a cool job. You hear about withers? She got discharged for flirting with the sergeants down the hall. "
-
"Sounds like what she would do, didn't like her anyways"
-
The engineer recruit laughs, and is about to say something else when the Russian sergeant bursts in. Of the two he was definitely the one that pushed them harder, but he was fair as well as tough. "Alright everyone up! We're going for a run! Get your gear!" The recruits scramble to get their gear together and form up. Helmets, canteens and rifles are all scattered, probably the reason for the run.
-
She curses, preparing herself for the run
-
The run is in the holo room, and the sergeant, rather fond of his mountainous home world, set the run at low lying foot hills. He keeps a fast pace going and the trail is hard, unpaved and rough terrain.
-
She slows every now and then, but manages to keep up
-
The group finally ends the run. Each man and woman eventually makes their way back to the barracks. Some crashed on their beds, others hit the shower.
