As a stormtrance user I disagree. The melee can hit far and you can also have the perk to get your melee back after getting meleed yourself. The thunder grenade is good as well.

Sounds like what people said about Sunbreaker. Didn't make much difference though did it?

Yeah BUT everyone speaks of the great melee Well you can't use melee or grenades if u use the enhanced super. You have to have them both charged up before popping super. I use all 3 characters I have all the classes. To me it feels like the strongest classes are sunsinger, defender Titan, and night stalker. But hell, maybe I'm crazy, but I'm all about the 85 percent of the time I'm playing when I'm not using supers.

Having a grenade and melee is very easy. If you have halfway decent Discipline/Strength stats. I have all three classes and play with all three fairly regularly.
