There are over 200 bodies of climbers who died in the death zone of Mount Everest. Climbers that summit need to pass by several of them on the trail, and others are visible down in the crags and crevices.

Isn't k2 more dangerous than everest? You must be an excellent climber. Kudos to you. I couldn't do it.

Not climbing, flying. I was working in Pakistan in 2004. We flew around the mountain, and one of the Pakistanis pointed her out.

It was kind of morbid. I cannot imagine what went through her head. She was tangled in her ropes, and may have survived the fall. According to one of the Pakistanis, her team was not able to reach her and she probably froze to death.
