Well it wasn't always that way... It wasn't always sunshine and kittens...
We experimented in classified labs, from kinetic weaponry, to devastating biochemical viruses that would devastate entire civilizations.. Some real nasty stuff if it got out...
Funny thing is... I never knew about it..
Around the end of the Dread war. The people failed to recognize the bravery and victory of those millions...billions... Of lives who fought to keep the Empire and her people safe...failed to realize they survived... That the Dread were defeated..
No... All they saw was death... Death... Death...
New enemies arose from the ashes... Gaining popularity and strength in numbers.. Before long, the Empire was overthrown.. Cast aside.. Looked down upon..
Well.. An organization broke into one of these secure labs...
[b]And unleashed the wrath of God upon the entire planet... The place was nothing but hell within a week... [/b]
The Empire wiped the planet from the star maps... Erased... Gone... The name forgotten. The memory, scarred.
Quite some time passed by... Some very nosy people began to poke their noses in very dangerous places.. The Feds found the place first.. Hoping to gain access to the labs and obtain weaponry beyond the imagination of warfare.. Then followed the 'Resistance.' Two factions... Battling for the sweetest loot..
They found a nightmare of Biochemical warfare waiting for them..
One thing they forgot... They all forgot.. The Empire wasn't fully gone..."

A message is repeated throughout* "Warning. Sanctuary has been breached. Virus T-41 has been detected. All personnel are to equip their oxygen masks immediately. This is not a drill."

[/spoiler] Phaedrus listens to the blaring PA for a second, matching it with the databases in his HUD to no avail. His helmet had a filter for viral pathogens and the like, so he continued on his path unfazed. He raises a palm to face the door, and forces it open with TK.

*he checks the line to make sure it is still secure, then speaks "SilverPulse004, authorization code Alpha Alpha Gamma 4."-Icier *he makes his approach to the enemy fortifications, his weapons charges and ready to fire

*The comms are silent, then spark up again* "Roger that, your code seems valid. Um, If my scans aren't false. Are you preparing to assault the enemies homebase?"

"Affirmative. I've got a tactical antimatter bomb with their names on it. Permission to drop it on their sorry faces?"-Icier

"Negative, sir. No matter how much firepower you pack in that bomb. It wont penetrate their defenses. And to add to that note, you'll get shot out of the sky easily.. You're a sitting duck. They've cracked one of the Imperial vaults and have access to a very slim amount of Empire tech. Our teams are working on obtaining some tech for ourselves.. I advise you. Do not engage." *the comms begin to crackle*

"But si-" *comms have been jammed. You look around for your reinforcements... None to be seen.. Fed soldiers roamed around... But something seemed off.. It didnt seem right.*

"Huh. Interesting."-Icier *he scans them, and stealthily makes his way closer to the base

*A shield barrier stops you, the entire base seemed to be on lockdown.. But why?* "*Groan*" *One of the Fed soldiers had a red splotch across his chest...no..that was a hole in his chest..*

"What the?"-Icier *he pulls out his freeze rifle, and walks over to the fallen fed soldier

*he limps* "H-help...m-" *he violently flails, falling back and having seizures.. Black blood vessels straining his body* "Gah! ack!" *He gets up unnaturally and begins to run at you with surprising speed, wailing and screaming. Drawing the attention of a horde*

*he pulls out his freeze rifle and takes aim at them "I suggest you stand down before I have to use lethal force."-Icier

*they all screamed and continued running, some with visors broken.. Some with gas masks.. Something was in the air.*

*he fires multiple shots at them, freezing many in ice before they can get to him. He scans the air for contaminates "Now where have I heard of this from before..."-Icier(unusually calmly)

*Your scan came clean, but then again. They wouldn't wear oxygen masks for nothing* *Most of them are frozen, lots more still to come. Mutated civilians now joining in on the hunt for 'fresh meat.'*

*he fires several shots at the enemies, and climbs into his fighter. It takes off and holds position about 100 meters above the creatures. As he fires at them with his quad Quasa cannons, he attempts to contact home base "Guys, you won't believe what I found out here..."-Icier
