THIS IS GOING TO BE LONG, LIKE ALL MY OTHER POSTS. INTRODUCTION So some people want weapon reforging apparently. Before you vote, read this and then make a more educated choice. Or, if you've already voted, maybe I'll change your mind, maybe I won't. My Opinions about Crucible As of now, the Crucible could be in such a wonderful place. Sadly, there are a few specific weapons that are plauging it. First off, exotics like The Last Word or MIDA Multi Tool, which are wonderful weapons, are outliers and throw the "balence" the Crucible has off. The Last Word is a full auto hand cannon that shoots faster than any other hand cannon. The MIDA has staggering rounds, which cause it's enemies aim to be completely thrown off, shredding any hope of defeating it in a fair 1v1 gun fight. I enjoy Crucible more without these weapons, but I'm sure people would hate to see them nerfed. Instead, Auto rifles and Pulse rifles should get buffs. Now, onto special weapons. Sadly, Everyone got extremely easy access to two weapons with amazing rolls, the infamous Thousand-Yard Stare and Conspiracy Theory-D. As long as these two weapons exist, no matter how balenced special weapons become, everyone having access to these two weapons ruins the Crucible. I propose that those two specific weapons are deleted from everyone's inventories, and everyone is compensated with 50 strange coins. Now, to make Fusion Rifles able to compete with other Special weapons, I propose that all changes made to them from the Taken king and forward are revoked, and then we build off of that. Rerolling Legendary Weapons Okay, now we get into the meat of the post. First off, I will say that I support rerolling. Now before you go post something arguing why I am wrong, here me out. I think rerolling is a great thing. It creates an image of a perfect gun that you can strive for. Without rerolling, that image is an illusion to almost everyone. In House of Wolves, rerolling for a perfect weapon was way too easy, every single player could easily get a god roll. I believe this is because the price was far too low, and you could basically reroll with no consequences. If rerolling legendary weapons does make a return, I think it should have these standards. My Requirements for Rerolling 1. The cost has to be super high, like 100 legendary marks and 25 motes of light. Maybe even more expensive. 2. Rerolling a weapon lowers its attack by 10. This would not let players just reroll their highest level weapons, they would be forces to find new ones. 3. You can only reroll X amount of times a week. X is your Gunsmith rank. Conclusion I hope rerolling makes a return with significant changes. Getting a god roll should not be easy, but with time and dedication players can get their hands on their "perfect weapon". • Not a good idea at all. Punishing a player for rerolling a weapon is a horrible idea. Might as well buy a legendary engram if the drawback is that big.
