I played Pokemon in 1997, about a year after the games first came out. I was 4. Thought they were amazing.
I still play Pokemon to this day and own all 720 Pokemon.

Me too! Working on doing that again on a few games via phone emulator lol, good times.

I've started working on getting every possible Pokemon shiny. So far I have somewhere around 100. Caught a lot lately and haven't updated my list so I don't know the exact number. A buddy of mine is almost up to 300, but he literally only plays Pokemon lol

It's not too bad honestly. Once you catch all the Pokemon in the dex, minus the event-only Pokemon, you can get the shiny charm, which increases chances of encountering shiny Pokemon by 300%. And the Pokemon Bank makes transferring all 720 across my 6th gen games super quick and easy, so I've got the dex complete on Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, and X and Y. Also having 2 3DS's makes it pretty easy to just farm the same route on both at the same time until I get all the shinies I want, then move onto the next. Lately I've been going for shiny Latios and Latias from the event last year with the Eon ticket. I got Latios shiny, but I'm still working on Latias. Legendaries are definitely the most time consuming.

Damn, now THAT would be something. Good luck dude!

Sweet Christ, you're the walking definition of the word 'dedication'.

That, my friend, is what I call a die hard fan
no literally, my friend claims he's a die hard Pokemon fan just because he has pikachu socks
Now that is dedication.
