Share your Dark Zone stories!
The Dark Zone is one of the best multiplayer experiences I've had in a long time. I've sunk many hours into it already and I have loved every second of it.
Yesterday me and three other friends were rampaging through the Dark Zone, slaughtering hapless solo players after chasing them to the ends of the earth like a pack of hounds. Of course we triggered a Manhunt and let me tell you, that shit was [i]intense[/i]. You haven't really experienced the Dark Zone until you and your friends become wanted criminals and you literally have 8-11 guys all chasing you down across the Dark Zone. Now, we had lost them temporarily and one of our friends had a Dark Zone key he wanted to use on a chest we were beside. As he opened and looted it our pursuers caught up. The chest was at the end of a short alleyway, no bends but (thankfully) some tree beds to use as cover. We were tossing every type of grenade wildly, juggling jammer pulses to stop them from getting pulse boosts on us, blind firing, etcetera etcetera. We were cornered, and we still had four minutes to go. All of a sudden, one of my friends started yelling incoherently and went down. All of us looked behind us to see the group of Elite Cleaners (led by a huge named yellow bar with a flamethrower). [i]A.I enemies had spawned behind us to guard the chest.[/i] We were between a rock and a hard place. We barely managed to kill them, but in the process two of us went down and were killed.
Being bum rushed by six people with shotguns is not something you forget easily. The moral of the story? Run. Just run.

Fighting a large group of elite enemies, good loot dropped after I killed one, figured I'd stay for the rest. I hear gunfire, three rogues, they drop most of the elites before I start shooting, I dropped one, forced another to hide, third one fires back. Not looking good, I start spraying in order to kill as many as I can before I die, I kill the second, the third and I are injured. The sniper elite comes from behind, I see the flash of light from his scope aiming at me. The third rogue runs into his line of fire and dies. I win

I was able to make an 8 man fireteam out of my friends in the chat party. We absolutely owned the whole map for about 3 hours. It was a ton of fun. I recommend everybody try it at least once.

1 ReplyA friend and I were just collecting loot from npc's and this one group repeatedly slaughtered us. They also had an invisible. Finally we were able to escape them and get back to our looting. He got a bad ass sniper and I got a shotgun. About an hour later we ran into the group that had relentlessly hunted us down before. It looked like they were looting and headed to an extraction point. Meh sniper friend took point on a high up ledge as a decoy and I went invisible and gunned those b4stards down with my shotgun. They kept coming back to try and get their loot back. I stole all the clothes and extracted them myself. If they happened to get pass the sniper they'd run to pick up the loot left on the ground where I would barrel stuff them with my shotty. Finally my invisibility deactivated and I sprinted to safety with the rest of the loot in hand. Claimed my manhunt and acquired the DZ points. We then did the same thing but swapped places. I ran around as a decoy while he gunned them down. Point being if you cheat expect others to get back at you with the same methods, b4stards.

1 ReplyThere was 5 of us lone wolf agents at a extraction point; as we dumped our stuff off, one guy thought he'd be clever and try to kill us all. The second he shot a couple of bullets at us, we all turned and laid into him. Dumbass!!!

A group of four rogues sat and killed anybody coming through the doors.

I was pretty desperate to find a group of people to team up with in the dark zone. I finally found one by a checkpoint... Turns out they were all portuguese or something. So i didnt understand them but it was fun to have someone to run around with.

Chilling on top of the parking garage extraction point with the helicopter due to arrive in about 30 seconds. Suddenly, AI flood the top of the parking garage. "OK, this can't be that big of a problem." Halfway into taking out the AI, a group of rogues show up. "Well sh*t." Helicopter arrives and my buddy and I book it to the extraction. He goes down on the way. I get to the rope, taking fire as I strap on my loot. Not even a full second after I've finished strapping on my loot, I take my final hit and die. Loot extracted.

I found some good loot once in a construction site. Problem was, there were rogues nearby at an intersection and I needed to cross the road. I did my best to sneak past the cars but they must have pulsed me because they were on my ass, real bad. So, I suck into a nearby parking garage and I find three friendly agents that just cleared it out inside. They point their guns at me to see if I would do something to them and I just bolted past them. I'm not usually a rogue anyways but I didn't have the time to tell them that. I break out the other side of the garage and I hear a barrage of gunfire behind me, turns out those agents saved my life by dying at the hands of the rogues for me! I felt a little bad.

I was very skeptical about this game but after reading these posts on really convinced to try it out when it releases.

Killed the same group of 4 (we were a 3) over and over again, kids just didn't learn not to have a crack at us. They were also very predictable and we could pick which checkpoint they would respawn at and would be waiting - never initiated contact though, that was all them. P.s the Epic M1A1 (purple) is OP with a compensator and heavy magazine Spring...used it as a primary

I was going to extract some gear and got killed. I don't care since extracting gear is pointless because of vendor gear being flatout better.

My group was pinned at Northwest extraction by four guys on the roof. (you know the one.) I snuck through the building next door, ran from porch to porch through the out-of-bounds area, climbed the rope behind them, and killed all four with some explosives and my lmg. One of the most "MVP" moments I've felt in a game in a long time...

Had me and 13 people come in and wipe out some rouges on the rooftop near the north extraction area, it did not end well for them.

6 RepliesI had 6 people chasing me that we're all wanted. Luckily most people don't know that you run faster with your pistol out. So I'm booking it through a building and pause, I get out a incendiary grenade and toss it just in time for all of them to walk inside. Explosive bullets equipped, equip purple RPK, sweet sweet revenge ensues. The dark zone is annoying as hell but man is it fun though

I, playing solo at the time, killed a group of three rogues. They were not happy when they respawned and a chase began. We ran across the top of the map, then I went into a building where I thought I could lose them. They found me and there was an awkward standoff until I fired some warning shots. They tried trapping me in a room with the sticky bombs, but I waited until my Concealment pulse recharged. I fired it and just ran. They then followed me until I went up onto the library, where I went down the back side. They were on the library so confused as to where I went. So naturally I threw a grenade and ran away. That was the last time they bothered me. Dark Zone is no joke.

It's a long story but... I'll make it short...it was 3 of my friends and I and we had gone rogue, multiple people had started chasing us so we went on top of the roof over looking the northern extraction zone(you rappel up), we held there for around 2 hours fighting off wave after wave of agents wanting to claim are bounties. Eventually two of them snuck up behind us we killed them...but at a cost...other agents came up the front we decided that a tactical retreat was are best bet. So we ran down the other side in the process one of my friends was down...he stayed behind so we could get away. We did the "teleport back to the safe room glitch". Good times, can't wait for the full game.

So I had just collected some loot and I had made my way to the nearest extraction zone, I fired my flare and began patrolling the extraction site then out of the corner of the screen I see movement, keep in mind it's midnight and a blizzard, so I stay cautious and continue my patrol route around the zone, then suddenly I see a lens flare coming from an elevated platform so I'm just thinking "crap!" As I roll behind a crate for cover, now I'm pinned down and the sniper has a perfect shot on me if I need to leave cover. So I blind fire a bit to try to discourage him and I notice my extraction helicopter is here, so I sprint to the rope dodging a few bullets, then I notice the shooting stops and I can hear yelling coming from where the sniper was, so I quickly hook my loot onto the rope and look to where I heard the yelling, a couple of looters with baseball bats had heard the sniper and gone and beaten up the sniper who was making my extraction difficult.

One time I had to extract loot and then a group of four agents killed me right as the helicopter got there. But then I respawned and kept following them and they got to manhunt status and the I had friends to help kill them

Well today about 9 of us were standing in a circle at an extraction zone and we're all doing jumping jacks and then clapping simultaneously, it was great we followed each other round for ages.

Saw 4 rogues run past me, thinking "god that was lucky they didn't see me" ... then saw like 20 guys chasing after them down the street.
