Xûr needs to Sell Exotic Shards.
Seriously why were these removed.
Nightfalls don't really drop exotics anymore.
3oC don't work at all
Exotic drops in raids, trials are too rare to be a reliable source for shards.
Buying exotics off xûr and dismantling them just is not practical at all.
Seriously why were these removed?! I started again on PS4 and I've found it almost impossible to get exotic shards or exotics.
This is a simple easy change. Please re-add shards for 7 strange coins (or less) each.

Buy a exotic bit armour off him for 13 coins and crush it. If you buy from kiosk it still costs you an exotic shard.

3 of coins dont work? they drop at about 20% of the time. I seem to drop them all the time. as long as ya put the gap between then they are regular.i find give a 20 minute break between dropping and in 2 hours i'd drop 2-3 of them.

11 RepliesI would be fine with Xur selling shards, but I have to say, this explanation is nonsense. It's not hard to get shards at all. I buy about 30 3oC a week, and usually end up with 8-12 exotics. Most of those get broken down, or infused into other gear. The other thing is, as you said, you can buy gear for 13 SC and break it down. That's basically just buying shards.

2 RepliesI've got 29 shards on my Titan alone, simply from dismantling exotics I didn't need from using 3ocs. They work.

3 RepliesEdited by SpakulatorX: 1/31/2016 11:57:31 AMSaw a post on this awhile back, haven't needed shards since. You basically can "buy" shard for 2500 glimmer and like 5 motes. Go to the exotic weapon kiosk and buy a heavy weapon, one you hopefully have a class item that lvls up that weapon class faster. Equip it and lvl it up with motes, should take 3 or 4 if you have the class item. Break it down, 90% of the time it is dismantled into 2 shards. Repeat til your out of glimmer.

4 Replies3 of coin works good to me. It's all I buy from Xur anymore. Well that and the occasional heavy ammo. I stock up on 3 of coin. I prefer to have the chance of getting 290-310 exotics versus Xurs 280 gear. Through iron banner I've gotten a lot of exotics. 1 per character in a day. Even got 4 in one day and they were all 310. I don't rely on 3 of coin. I turn it on when I remember. Which makes it randomly used automatically. I just feel I get a lot of exotics which in turn gives me shards when I need to infuse.

I wish he still sold shards as well, but I think they took it down because of three of coins.
