With so much recent bad news, you can now feel the full force of some good news. Ishtar Commander for Destiny just hit 1.2 and is out right now for both, yes both, Android and iOS. You read that right, the app is no longer iOS exclusive. There are no time gated iOS only features and no iOS only looty things. It even has the cool landscape mode on Tablets and crazy large Phones such as the Nexus 6. What is Ishtar Commander? It is a Destiny companion app that puts the vault direct to your finger tips. You don’t need to visit the tower to transfer items between your characters. Hang on, don’t Bungie have their own app? Arn’t there other item mangers out there? Yes there are, but unlike Bungie I don’t secretly hate you by making an awesome game you play too much or something. Ishtar Commander has been built from the ground up to look, sound and behave just as if it leaped right out of the game and onto your mobile device. It is also super fast, so as you fly in your laggy crucible match you can quickly grab the weapons and armor you need to play the game you claim to not be playing. See a video of it in action here. My you are all so demanding! - New web based login. You can now feel secure, as well as finally log in with Xbox accounts that have 2 factor authentication. - Loadouts! Probably the number one community request is now a reality. Mark a bunch of weapons and armor and have them all bulk move and equip to your character. Great for Raids and PvP. You can create an Iron Banner loadout with the shader, emblem and class item to maximise the amount of rep you get per game. This does not apply to solo Rift player who will only be collecting medallions. - Postmaster. See all the items waiting for you. Sadly you still have to visit the postmaster in game to get the items. - Items are now ordered by light. - Enhanced transfer system. Items now transfer even faster than before. I don’t have an exact number but it is way above 0.04%. Transfer and equip in one action. Just slide the transfer button to right and it will reveal an equip button. Keep in mind items can only be equipped when at the Tower/Reef, in orbit or when a character is not active. These are limits set by Bungie because they are big hairy meanies, or maybe because giving you the power to swap weapons at ease during a raid boss fight or mid PvP Trials game would be totally unfair. Many many other visual tweaks. If you are not playing Destiny any more then you don’t need to try this app out. But if you are you should, but you won’t so you shouldn’t. Known issues: Android devices with Intel Atom CPU’s are not supported. The app is ARM only. Custom ROMs such as Cyanogen have not been tested with or supported.
